  1. There are like 18 metal flowers all marked on map. It will take Max 30-40 mins to collect them all.

    Neo

You need that Armor for completing few high level corrupted zones and Hunting challenges. So complete those quickly and then go for collectibles.

You don't need that Armor for collectibles lol.

I know that and I've completed all side quests and activities except collectibles.... Where did I say we need power armor to fetch collectibles ?

  2. @@Neo This whole argument started when certain members tried dumbing down the success of Baahubali because they felt that the story and acting was flawed. You said it yourself - the Baahubali franchise is an outlier. There is no successful Indian epic released after 2000 that can provide a proper basis for comparison. So it would be unfair to criticize the Baahubali franchise for lack of character development let alone it's plot.

I can only hope that you realize that you were mistaken to think that character development should've been one of Rajamoulis' top priorities in order to help the audience develop an emotional connection with some of the lead characters/protagonists in a epic, historical, fantasy movie. I will stop criticizing Bollywood if you can assure that members on this thread don't unfairly criticize the Baahubali franchise. Capisce?

oops ! I think i got misinterpreted here. I'm not defending bollywood. Feel free to criticize all you want :P I was merely pointing out that south indian film industry is not all hunky/dory like you say , that's all. There's lot of things that are common between both the industries that needs to be improved upon !

On the other hand, i stick to my stand that the story/narration could've been handled better in BB2. Once the hype dies down and you watch it on TV on a repeat viewing, you'll know what I mean. There was no noticeable issues with acting, but I can understand on where the complaints come from. South Indian movies tend to overplay emotions as compared to bollywood, so they might have found the acting to be a little OTT. But , having been used to watching south indian movies , I didn't find any issues there.

  3.

Ummm. I think you've missed my point. Rajamouli and his team saw the perfect Bhallaladev in Daggubati and a worthy Baahubali in Prabhas. Let me make it very clear Rajamouli and his team did not believe that they were taking risks. They were just being practical while choosing a cast. Can you even imagine Bollywood creating an Indian epic that does not feature one of it's superstars? What is considered practical in Telugu cinema is otherwise blasphemy in Bollywood! Bollywood has grown lazy rinsing and repeating the same formula over and over again.

Again, it's NOT the norm. which is what I've been trying to say so far. To put it more succinctly : Name one other such high budget movie (>50 cr) without superstars made in telugu/tamil ? Like i said earlier, don't draw conclusions using on outlier like BB. It's like taking the example of AB/zanjeer and claiming on how bollywood doesn't have nepotism at all since their biggest superstar was not from a movie background !

From what I've seen, both bollywood and southern industries have been more or less similar in their approach towards making movies - obsessed with the same bankable stars , use scripts on proven formulae for success, promote their own to new movies, bank on songs/item songs for marketing and so on. There could be exceptions, but its few and far in between !

  4.

Yes, Baahubali is also an outlier in the South. But the Baahubali franchise really credits its success to the fact that a far more popular/bigger industry like Bollywood has been milking the metrosexual genre. Which is what makes Baahubali so incredibly refreshing.

I don't have a problem with SRK playing to his strengths. But if Bollywood decides to rinse and repeat the same formula in 9 out of 10 movies starring SRK then it is to their own detriment. It would be difficult for Bollywood to deliver an Indian epic with their superstars.

I can't understand the recent hoo-haa up north where everyone believes that Bollywood's biggest problem is nepotism. If there's anything to be learnt from the success of the Baahubali franchise, then it is that nepotism has made Bollywood extremely unimaginative.

You are missing the point here. Neither prabhas or rana are superstars in south either ! They are popular actors no doubt, but not super stars like chiru or rajini. Even in south, producers hardly experiment with the reigning superstars (apart from few exceptions) considering their huge fee and expectations from their fan base ! Maybe movies like BB will encourage these superstars to take risks, but so far, such attempts have been very less.

Also, just so you know, SRK did experiment with a totally different genre long while back. Unfortunately for him, it ended in a box office disaster. Like i said before, some movies click , some don't. We tend to focus only on the successful and forget the failures.

  5. New wonder woman trailer is out.. cut this crap and somebody post that here.. need some marvel vs dc fix..

I stopped watching after the first one, most of the good scenes are revealed in the trailer itself, what's the fun in watching in theaters ?

  6.

Why do you think @hope is the way he is? Why do you suppose he gets a lot of hate for promoting SRK? I've never understood why everyone hates SRK. In my opinion SRK is a terrific actor who has tremendous screen presence. But the hate he receives isn't because of his acting skills but largely thanks to Bollywood having heavily typecast him into the role of a lover. It's because of Bollywood's reluctance to admit that they're an unimaginative lot that SRK receives the kind of hate that he does. What a waste of talent! Bollywood repeatedly chooses to take the easier path, creating a movie that revolves around SRK instead of choosing to cast opposite another strong lead actor.

Take a serious movie like Collateral (2004) for example. SRK would've made an f***ing awesome Vincent provided they could've found a less popular but convincing actor to play Max. But a hindi-remake would fail miserably simply because Bollywood has heavily typecast SRK as the brooding, forlorn lover with fans expecting at least one dance number.

Everyone up north thinks that nepotism is the biggest problem with Bollywood. Well the truth is it isn't. If there's anything to be learnt from Baahubalis' success then it's time for Bollywood to wake up and reinvent themselves. They need to stop chasing after profits and start taking risks with different genres which they can quickly accomplish by scouting for lesser-known talent.

OK, I'm myself a south indian, and live in south india, and I watch movies of many languages (I'm a native kannada speaker having lived in andhra , k'taka and kerala).

But I disagree that Bollywood movies are stagnating compared to the stuff in south here. Your entire post is one big hyperbole and nothing else. Movies like bahubali are an exception even in south. 99% of the movies in telugu/tamil are made for the gallery with item songs and larger than life hero characters mowing down dozens of thugs without breaking a sweat ! Movies like eega, bahubali come once in a while, and similarly such diff kind of movies are made in bollywood too - satya, taare zameen par etc.

And talking about SRK, he has quite a number of movies where he DID NOT play a lover boy - Dear Zindagi, Raees, sawdes, paheli etc come to mind. He is in the movie making business after all and yeah, he does play to his strengths , what's wrong in that ? Do tell me how many of recent Vijay / NTR/ Pawan Kalyan / Chiru's movies are any different than a regular pot boiler masala movies in recent times ? How many earlier movies of prabhas were like bahubali ?

Don't draw stupid conclusions based on an outlier like bahubali. Bad and good movies exist in all languages , some risk takers like rajjamouli, aamir khan are present in every industry, some click , some don't.

  7. Get that platinum before it's nerfed.

I would've, but can't bring myself to search for all those metal flowers and other artifacts ! Item search is the only thing pending in this game for me !

  8. It's not even that OP. You still have to strategise while fighting against bigger machines.

It is OP ! I just went all Rambo against most big machines with power armor and easily got away with it ! Also I attended to most of the corrupted zones , hunting grounds and other side quests only after unlocking this armor which made all of them a breeze !

  9.

There's just no comparison. The Baahubali franchise aimed to appeal to a much more general Indian audience. That said, it's ironic when Indian critics say that the acting and story is flawed! Weirdest tripe i've heard in a while! :ko:

Even I think the story / narration in the second movie was flawed as compared to the first. There was hardly any character development of bhallaldeva or Tamanna. Movie spent way too much time in the flashback story and the ending was heavily rushed. Many story arcs like the sudeep's one from the first movie etc, did not even make it to second.

IMO, the movie could've easily cut short the extended romance between prabhas/anushka, the unnecessary pindari storyline could've been easily done away with (which adds little to no substance to the overarching story line) .... they should've ended the flashback before intermission and focused on how bahubali wins back his kingdom .... i mean come on, it's like one of the biggest kingdoms of it's time with one of the largest armies under its command and it's easily taken over by a guy with a bunch of villagers ? Just compare it with the tribals/kingdom war from the first movie and it feels rushed / unbelievable even for a fantasy setting !

Just my opinion though, don't flame me :nerves: I did enjoy the visuals and the character of anushka shetty (was really refreshing to see a stand-up person among all the stereotypical yes mens) , but the story just did not meet my expectations !

  10. Guys, Is it allowed to carry waterbottle in the cinema hall?

I have not watched a movie for a long time ...so don'tknow if rules changed or not...

I don't think so, unless it's for an infant/kids.... But different theaters have different rules, so....

  11. Bahubali 2- technically brilliant and very well made with gorgeous visuals. It really raised the bar for Indian movies in technical aspects. But I feel it falls short in story and narration as compared to the first. The third act feels very much rushed with the flashback story getting most of the screen time. It's one of those movies where, once the hype does down ppl are gonna notice the shortcomings. But still worth a watch for the visuals alone !

That trailer was okayish but wtf is wrong with salman after the end of the trailer. Its like he's trying to do a spoof on himself.

Supposedly it's a remake of hollywood movie - 'little boy' ....

  15. Happy New Year is one of the most bakwaas movies of all time, maybe a notch above dilwale (which is perhaps SRK's worst movie) .... wonder if SRK even reads the scripts before he signs them !

BTW, still waiting on the price drop to Rs 200 before watching bb2, only risk is if someone spoils it .... already a couple of guys were discussing in office cab today about the movie :-/

  16. Yeah The Office US version is probably best comedy tv series ever. I completed all 9 seasons in 2 months lol. Michael is one of the best comedy characters in tv history lmao

Yep, I also liked his sidekick, forgot his name !
