I nearly topped my high school batch in the Marathi examination, but I dare you to hear me speaking Marathi and retain your sanity.
Actually I dare ANYONE to hear Marathi curse words and retain their sanity. LOL
You guys have the most descriptive swear words I've ever known in any language...
For those unfamiliar with Marathi.. a simple "F***" or even SOB isn't enough for them.. they have entire sentences constructed of swear words..
Can't give examples here (Not familiar with the entire TOS of this forum yet).. but (use your imagination) it usually goes something like "I am going to shove my 'xBOX' into your mother's siter's brother's wife's 'PS3 and make her 'Nintendo Wii into a HD ready Machine' "

Never was able to wrap my head around the grammar. Nearly flunked it in high school. Born and brought up in Mumbai and my folks decided that my first language should be English. So I have never gotten to grips with my own mother tongue or Hindi. Plus, Mumbai's Hindi is a different language by itself, discarding all semblance of propriety in favor of barely passable pronunciations and grammar that can be easily understood by one and all. In addition to all that, living abroad for the past few years and dealing primarily with Americans and Brits has further blunted my rudimentary Indian language skills.
Damn.. Guess he has an excuse.

Worse still.. I bet his Marathi is better than mine too. Mala marathi thode-thode ye-te. Doon varshe Puneat hote, aani me i aamchi bayeko Goa-at jaanyat hote.
LOL.. don't even know if that made any sense.. but we were supposed to move to Goa.. not Delhi, but my dad passed away and so we moved here. In Goa, I had to pretend I was from Poona (pune) since they don't like ppl from Delhi much over there.

LOL! Your Hindi is worse than mine.
SALVATION !!
Is it that bad.. really? :'( Damn.. and here I was so f***ing proud that I spoke Hindi. LOL
Tell you a story.. I learned Hindi becuz... in the US.. me and my ABCD buddies.. we all had foreign wives/GFs. Now we needed a way to converse in front of them and not have them understand that we were making plans on visiting the local strip club. English wouldn't do.. all the women spoke it. Our own mother-tongues wouldn't do.. I'd have no clue what the Tamil guy was saying.. So we had to learn Hindi.. broken or otherwise..

So.. what's your excuse?

Patrick... u said u r a desi right?? patrick doesnt sound desi to me

Actually it isn't. Patrick is an Irish name. I was born and lived most of my life abroad.. thus got an international name.
Try getting the Americans to pronounce "Venkataratnam Narasimha Rattaiah"

Lekin.. haa bhai.. mein desi hun.

Feel free to PM me and ask if a price is correct or you are being fleeced
and beware of buying from members with less than 20 posts ( though we have next to none scams here , being precautious never hurts . )Dude: Really.. thanks for the offer. I really might take you up on it. Being new here (to India) it's sometimes hard for me to determine wherether I'm being ripped off.

Prices of games/consoles are generally higher here..
But worse still.. I can't find a lot of the games I want in the stores. Example: Haven't been able to locate Test Drive Unlimited 2 (for either xBox or PS3) in any store. ;(
Since I have friends/family in both the US and EU (my own wife is European) .. I can have them ship to me.. but like I said.. 1/2 my shipments to my dad never arrived here.
Again.. Thanks a lot for the offer, my "Little Big Planet" bud.

Damn it

Patrick we need some clarification here

Actually.. I don't have the Wii (currently) .. Don't like the Wii.. Don't Want the Wii.
Altho I am waiting for the new system that they just showed off at E3.. Believe it's called the Wii U .. provided it's got 1080p (or atleast 1080i) resolution
It finally does have HD graphics.. but they never really mentioned the resolution.. so could be 720p .. in which case I'm not interested.
Besides.. dudes.. I'm nearly 40.. Watching Mario and his gay friend (Luigi?) prancing across the screen hardly makes a case for a Must Have game for me. LOL
So.. No.. I don't have all the systems... you're safe.

No rules off buying , just pay beforehand through bank transfer and get the game

This might be a stupid question, but please bear with me since I've only been in India for a couple of months.
1/2 the packages that I used to send from abroad to my dad here either never reached him or were broken into.
How safe is shipping games here these days?
I was just planning on buying them in Delhi itself, altho my choices greatly increase if I buy from all over.

Sackboy: Ya.. you are awesome.. atleast you Were in Little Big Planet

Of current systems, the only one I've not had multiple ones of was the Wii (hated it and never bought a second one)Question for you guys: I know there are severe restrictions for guys selling in the Trading threads.. but am not selling anything.. are there any rules for noobs buying off the forum? (apart from don't be an idiot and send a Western Union transfer to Nigeria)

Hi Guys...
I'm Patrick, and am in Delhi.
Just moved to India (after 30+ yrs) with my wife and dog (Aloo.. Pikanese)
I''m 39.
I am Desi.. altho my wife isn't.
Both me and my wife are huge video game fans..
So we've already bought (in India)..
a xBox 250 Kinect (my 6th xBox 360 so far)
a PS3 (my 4th so far)
and a PSP Go (3rd PSP so far)
and a 55" LED Samsung to go with them.
Reason for all the multiple ones being that we used to live in the US.. systems broke down/were upgraded.. remaining we sold and moved to Europe.
Started again in Europe.. same story.. and now buying again in India.

Still looking for ,,
Nintendo 3DS (or whatever the new 3D system of theirs is called.. I generally hate Nintendo)
Another PS3.. but this one has to be Ver 3.55 or older.
And ofcourse.. as many cheap games that I can get my greedy little paws on LOL
Hope to be contributing and beneficial member of this community.. am a Mod in several forums online.. so I'm not about to knowingly break any rules.
Cheers and take care guys. Hope to meet my fellow Delhi gamers someday in person, but am sure I will.. since I'm now off to the Trading Threads to see what's for sale in Delhi LOL -- Patrick

Is true.. he had a lot of games I wanted.. but he wasn't willing to sell them.
The other list of games was a joke... none of those games are even out yet!!
