    Last yr. in NOV.when Dark souls 2 was announced dev's told that the game is just about 25% complete & may NOT have a 2013 release date.Early 2014 was predicted by most of the gaming news websites & by Epicnamebro as well....

     

    But i think with the advent of playstation 4/xbox720 in OCT/NOV this yr the developers have really quicken the development of ds2 & the game might come out as early as LATE SEPTEMBER/EARLY OCT this yr. itself....

    I have done a BIT of research to substantiate my point.

     

    IN 2011 when Dark souls was to be released FROM software organised a similar DESIGN A SHIELD CONTEST IN JAPAN in the month of MAY & announced the results in July.

    Game finally came out in OCTOBER'11 if my memory serves me right...

     

    So,chronologically speaking (connecting the dots) DARK SOULS 2 also have a similar contest running up in about the same time frame.So all this points in only one direction ....DS2 is going to be released in SEP/OCT'13....!!

     

    What do you guys say.....???

    If this will be the case,SEP/OCT is going to be a blast for gamers with DS2 & GTA V lined up :)

     

    I am expecting a release date for DS2 @E3 !! :)

     

    UPDATE:: Dark souls 2 has a release date according to GAMETRAILERS:: 29/10/2013

    I would be really happy if FROM doesn't screw up anything and just make a new game like Dark Souls..I won't even mind the same graphic level as long as they don't screw up the gameplay.

     

    By the look of things,they aren't screwing up anything buddy ......

     

    It's just getting bigger & better !!! :)

    btw ...I was thinking they should make this dark souls in 3d....Not that i will be playing on 3d anytime soon but it will be nice to know i can and the experience way afty and Mt and others these putting about 3d games. Its exciting.

    ya,souls in 3D would be like SONE PE SUHAGA !!

     

    btw has anyone played crysis 2 or any other game on 3d tv ??

    How good/bad is the experience ?? :)

    @Problemsmoker : Dude, who said it is twice as big as DS? What is your source? Don't just imagine things and post BS here :doh:

    I should have mentioned that the GAME is twice as big as dark souls rather than the game world being twice as big...!!!

    Game world is roughly the same size,but game is twice as big....

    Bigger is not always better.

     

    I would rather have it as focused and tightly designed as DaS rather than be an empty vacuous space thrown together like Skyrim. Even within DaS, Lost Izalith is HUGE compared to most other sections of the game. But its also the weakest because the level design and enemy encounter isnt up to the rest of the games standard. On the other hand Sens Fortress doesnt really occupy a lot of space but its one of the best areas of the game because its so well put together.

    btw,i am bullish on DS2 !! Don't know why but i am ... ;)

    A LOT about dark souls 2 is going to be revealed on APRIL 11th by FROM software !!!

    It has been confirmed that the game will be twice as big as dark souls......

    After painted world i got Bored with the game,so left it for now....will play after 10-15 days :)

     

    I think first few Levels were EPIC.Went to the catacombs & didn't felt like continuing with it,so left it for the time being !!

    @dangalphgrey--- Bro,i have already been through a hell lot of pain in blightown :)

     

    I think i have overleveled my character for this area ...OR IS IT? ;)

    i have raw zweihandler 300 physical damage sword

     

    It pretty much takes out every enemy in one or at max 2 blows...!! :)

     

    Though crowded fast paced combat still remains challenging !!

    So,i have just reached ANOR-LONDO.!!!

    Its so vast & beautiful pretty much antithetical to what the rest of the areas were...! BREATHTAKING !!!

     

    Felt nice to see the SUN in full flow after quiet some time.(esp. afer depths & blightown ) :lol:

    I beat the capra demon and got the key to the depths. But before i went there i wanted to finish up darkroot basin but i cant beat the hydra.

     

    I managed to lure all the ice giants and take them out one by one, but before i even manage to reach the hydra it attacks me with its projectiles and kills me. Rolling and dodging doesnt seem to work. Nor does zig-zagging due to the spread of the attack. And trying to block is just laughable. I managed to reach it once and took out a few of its heads, but i wasnt aware of the water cliff there and i died.

     

    Any advice on how to get to him?

     

    Trick is step into the water as quickly as possible..when you will be 10-15 mts. inside the water..it will stop throwing water at you and will throw its tentacles at you.you can easily block these using a good shield with a decent physical DAMAGE resistance.

    Be cautious dont try to get near it as there is a drop near HYDRA.you will fall off and die instantly if you try to get too close to it.

     

    Just stay 10-15 mts. inside the water and kick its tenticles as & when it launches them towards you.

    Its pretty easy once you reach the water.

    Are you talking about Queelag? You can summon Maneater Mildred, she is an NPC. Her summon sign is right outside the boss fog door.

    Defeated her with the help of NPC in first attempt...

    Life became much easier :)

    ^^ Yup !! I have also memorized all the enemies locations till the depths !! and one can easily get past them without indulging in combat with them...

    I use to do a speed run from undead burg bonfire to taurus demon .. :)

     

    @ afty bhai/tyler bhai...aap mahanubhav log try kijiye aur world record apne naam kar lijiye...

    Ye record ek INDIAN ke paas hi hona chahiye.... ;)

    :blink: Level 45 in undead Parish? I think you are talking about the area behind the door in Darkroot garden.

    No bro...In undead burg the bonfire from where we drop down ladder...

    Go all the way up to the dragon and as soon as it spells fire jump down the staircase.The fire would kill all the undead's (550 souls) and return to the bonfire and repeat the process back & forth.

    It hardly takes a min.

     

    One can easily upgrade to whatever level in NO time.. :)

    All we need to do is drop down the ladder which is above the undead burg bonfire ;)

    Yes bro..It took me 5 hours to reach where i was earlier,after choosing a different class & restarting ...!!! :)
    Experience is the Key !!
    Btw,have anyone noticed? There is a glitch in undead BURG.One can get unlimited souls & level up to the point one wants to...!!!
    I have build a LEVEL 45 Knight in undead parish itself.All enemies are like bacha log in front of my character :)

    Guys, starting over isnt the worst thing to do. Trust me on this. You will be surprised how fast you end up beating bosses that took you forever. Experience in this game is greater than skill or Soul level or weapons or armor. At least in SP. Ask pbpoovannagamer, he started over after f**king up the same way.

    Where do i get the first ember? I have two titinate chunks (Lightning) and an uchi+4.

     

    Also after some random controller seizure which resulted in me randomly slashing at the bell gargoyle i got the weapon on its tail. Its not that good though.

    It took me around 100 attempts to beat Bell gargoyle !!!!

    Restart the game man. Andrei is the most important Blacksmith in the game. Without him it will be very difficult to clear the next areas. You need him to ascend weapons (i.e upgrading from +5 to +6 and +10 to +11). You cannot ascend weapons with Smithbox.

     

    And crystal weapons are useless! You cannot repair them.

    Even i think i f*cked up !!!

    have Restarted the game....

    :(

    I still recommend starting over. From Blighttown onwards the challenge significantly ramps up. It's possible to progress but it will be unnecessarily difficult (and boring) without upgrades. Trust me, starting over and reaching where you are now should be quite easy. You'll be surprised.

    I just found a CRystal Sword..Can it be upgraded by Blacksmiths further ahead in the game ??

    If NOT..then i will def. start OVER !!!! :)

    It most it should take you like 6-7 hours to get there again. And one thing you can do is to choose your gift as the black firebomb and kill the asylum dragon on your first meeting. If I'm not mistaken, you'll get some cool stuff if you do you. It'll shorten the time taken.

    but i am terrified at the prospect of facing those demons again :)

    Think i should continue without reinforcements....until i get some crystal weapons ...

     

    Btw,just out of curiosity i have just entered BLIGHTOWN..how much game is left now ???

    plz take my snail pacing into consideration ;)

    30 hours to reach Andrei? Have you been grinding a lot? I'd suggest starting over anyway. Andrei is a very important NPC and ideally it shouldn't take more than a couple of hours (or less) to reach where you are even if you're not an expert at the game. I'm actually wondering what prompted you to attack him in the first place. Did you accidentally hit attack while near him?

     

    Actually i didn't see him in my first round.I went ahead to kill the titanite demon below & then to darkroot garden,lower undead burg/the depths & then i came all the way back to ANDRE.Killed him coz i had bought weapon/armor BOX from him & i needed that CREST OF ARTORIAS thing from him & i didn't had 20000 souls then :)

     

    I thought buying armor/weapon box from him would suffice reinforcements at the bonfire but when i am trying to reinforce my weapons,its just NOT working :(

     

    Any tips as to how to go about it NOW :)

    Guys i am such a dumbA$$.I killed Andre blacksmith yesterday in undead parish.didn't knew at that point that he can be used for weapon updgradation.

     

    So,is there any way that i can REVIVE him ???? Or any other way i can get my NORMAL weapons upgraded ??

     

    I dont want to waste 30+ hours that i have already put into the game ..

     

    HELP guys !! :(
