  1. 3 out of 4 for top 2 , even if they win 1 more and keep good RUn rate they are almost in, 2 out 4 and they will surely make for playoffs

MI and CSK are the only teams with tough matches ahead. MI has 2 matches with KKR, once with RCB and RR. CSK on the other hand face DD,KKR,RR and Kings 11. So RCB and RR has better considering they both have matches against Pune and Deccan. The only way to have more fun would be when DD and KKR starts to loose some mathes

But i feel RR, RCB and MI will have very good chance to qualify as they are the teams who will be playing the league matches on the last day

  2. No, i think any team which manages to get 16 points eventually would have a chance of making it in.

16 points would be very close, then the net run rate would come in. For RCB they are in odd numbers along with CSK, KKR and Deccan. out of which Deccan is out and KKR is way too ahead. so it might be tie between CSK and RCB on points

Also i think there are some 7 matches involving Pune and Deccan, so those matches will be crucial for the other teams fighting for the playoffss

  3. I think if rcb looses today they might as well be out of the tournament.

I don't think RCB will be out even if they loose they, they have matches with Mumbai, Delhi, Pune and Deccan. Out of which Pune and Deccan are pretty weak. I think they should win atleast win once against Mumbai. So they can win atleast 3 out of 5 remaining matches.

Mumbai on the other hand has some tough matches even though they are in the top four now, They have 2 matches against RCB, 2 against KKR and 1 against RR, who all will be fighting for the playoffs

CSK another team with tough chance. They have once match each against RR,Delhi, KKR and Punjab, who all will be fighting for the playoffs

RR has one match each against CSK, Pune, Deccan and Mumbai. so they also have pretty fair chance considering they have two matches against Pune and Deccan

Kings XI punjab has some tough matches - 2 against Delhi, once each against CSK and Deccan

So considering the above situation RCB is in a better state compared to other teams. Another bad one for CSK is, after CSK completes the last league game, RCB has 2 games in hand (good for RCB though:)) and RR has 2 games in hand, Delhi has 2 games and all other team has one game each

  4. Raina has done nothing in.last 10-15 matches he is in team.for his reputation.

Anyway it is team dhoni now and not team india anymore so he decides.

You can't expect him to score 50 every match, he comes in at almost 6th down after dhoni, with hardly few overs to spare where he has to come and hit. He has done well in those situations.

But i accept when there are too many wickets down at the starting, then he should have played long innings.

  5. i also don't like csk.. But i know the reason :P Primary reason being that whoever does well in that side dhoni pushes him to the Indian team and wen he fails he stubbornly keeps on backing him.. Thats why I pray that csk doesn't do well ..

Example- jadeja .. We lost the the t20 world cup cause of his awesome bowling

For your information when t20 world cup happened, Jadeja was not in Chennai super kings. We love CSK just because the team is representing Chennai, not because of Dhoni or Raina. Even Dhoni or raina goes out, we will support CSK.

True he keeps giving chances to raina and jadeja while keeping players like rahane and irfan on bench.

I can accept this for Jadeja not for Raina, Raina has proven enough atleast in limited overs games.

As far as Rahane to come, some one from the opening slot should be out. i hope everyone knows who it is.

  6. Damn. Now CSKs chances of making the playoffs look quite bleak. Tough upcoming games against DD and KKR. Crap!!..

Never count CSK out of the competition. Apart from 2011, they were like this in the previous editions and they made it to last four.

I hope CSK don't make it to the playoffs.I hate them so much don't know why.

Many people don't know why they hate CSK. You are also one of them

  7. Apart from Delhi, none of the other teams are safe. Even with KKR, you may never when they will slide. The place for 3rd and 4th place will be fun. You cannot ignore DC even, as they are just 2 wins ways from catching up with the others. If DC starts winning few more matches then apart from Delhi, most of the other teams will be within 14 to 16 points. So the net run rate will be crucial factor. Also rain affected matches will have a major effect

  8. Vettori had no other option. Vettori wanted Murali, Zaheer and himself to bowl when Dhoni was batting, s0 in a way they got the reward by getting Dhoni out. But who in the world would have thought Morkel to come out and start hitting straight away.

As far as the RCB bowling option, i think there is no need to play all of Pujara, Tiwary and agarwal. one has to sit and a bowler should play

For CSK there is still a long way yo go, they have completed only one task

    1. They have won a match which they would have lost

    Still to come

    1. They will score more than 200 and loose the match :wallbash:

    2. They will score less than 120 and win a match :surprise:

    3. They will chase around 120 with lot of struggle :majesty:

    4. and ofcourse a tie with a superover :clapping:

so lot more things to happen still in the tournament for CSK :first:

  9. Dear God! CSK is going to be bottom 3 this time!..With DD, MI and RCB and their firepower, its impossible to do something...Waise chalta hai..2 baar jeet gaye already :P

Yeah. 2 consecutive home defeats on the cards

Never count CSK out of the competition. It was even a lesson for me for counting them out. Way to go CSK. But still a long way to go. Anything can still happen

  10. @AMG

A two time defending champion is not a title conteder? ... :scratchchin:

CSK was laughed at and written off for the past 2 seasons every time. Flashier teams like RCB and MI were tipped to win because of their performance during the league phase.

And then....crunch time during playoffs pe sab phail :P..While CSK shined through.

Yeah thats right, It is not correct to write off any team especially with one loss or at the first half of the season. Even RCB last year won only 1 or 2 matches in the first half and then won 7 matches in a row to reach finals.

It does not matter who comes first at the start, it matters who comes first at the the end.

  11. CSK are very strong at home..

If the last 2 seasons finals were not in Chennai then the result may have been different..

Too bad even this year the final is in Chennai :(

Only last season - 2011 the final was at Chennai, in 2010, the final was at Mumbai
