Do you probably think a guy with a family earning 30k in India would think about gaming? Dont jump to conclusions. I'm talking about someone who has no family responsibilites. Places like Mc donalds pay 10 bucks an hour to part time workers. A student who works 3 hours a day for pocket money can easily pocket 800-900 dollars a month. 60 bucks is easily affordable im that. Whereas here Mc donalds and all dont pay more than 5-6k to part time workers, spending 4k out of that is not even imaginable.

I was really excited after the initial reveal, however beyond that they havent really shown anything different. Since the release in in July, they should atleast show some other environment/combat mechanic. Not sure why Sony is being all so hush hush around the games and Ps5 reveal.

I doubt people pay full price at launch for digital games here anyway, so I think a 3k price point would have been great for physical copies. A world of difference in our buying power. In US 60 bucks is like 3% of salary for someone earning 2000 bucks a month, which most of the working peoplr can make, whereas in India an entry level engineer earns close to 30k per month, making 4k more than 10% of the monthly salary for 1 game which is ridiculous.

You guys are compairing gamepass to plus, while the same should be compared to Ps Now. I believe Ps Now is also adding a lot of titles for download, although price barrier is defintely there - 10 bucks vs 1 buck for gamepass.

I'm happy to grab free games, but aint no way MS making money on those 10 millions subs. Maybe if the base was 50 million paid subs @10 bucks a pop, this model would be profitable. Even if they had 10 million paid subs, I doubt how that makes sense for 3rd party devs to release games day 1 on gamepass? As a conservative estimate, I assume publishers get at least 20 bucks a copy sold out of the total 60? Even with a full 10 bucks per sub, I dont see how MS can compensate 3rd party devs without actually burning money. Then again, time will tell.

Just to be clear, Im not saying its a poor value or something. Its VFM even at full price, considering you can just sub for 10 bucks/month for a couple of month, play the games you want to and then cancel.

I wonder how many of those 10 million subscribers are the ones who extended the gold subscription to gamepass ultimate via the 1 dollar promos? My bet is most of them. The real test would be when MS stops giving away the gamepass sub for essentially free.

Yes obviously. If I have to choose because of the price, I'll go with PS5 because it has the type of games I like.

I'm not a PC gamer anymore, consoles are just too convenient. Pop in the disc and start playing. I like prettier graphics but thats not a deal breaker for me. And of course, my first buy will be a ps5 over series x because the PS has the type of games I enjoy. But If the price was right I wouldnt mind picking a series X too. I did buy an entry level gaming laptop a last year with a 1050ti. Was expecting for it to give me atleast a decent mid range settings performance but the experience has been bad. Tried Gears of War 4 and Hellblade. Both were jerky AF. Now its exclusively used for Excel and PPTs. Maybe I'll sub to gamepass again and give Gears another go, as I was really liking whatever little I got to play.
