    Core Voltage is directly propotional to Core Speed (Frequency) & heat emission.

    If you increase the core voltage by 100%, the frequency will also increase by 100% (ideally). But with 100% increase in core voltage, the amount of heat generated will increase by 800%.

    e.g. If your GPU originally emitted 10 W of heat at 5V, it will now emitt 80 W of heat @ 10 V.

     

    Cooling is most important if you want to hike the core voltage.

     

     

    if i use a voltage tweak should i need to tweak the core clock again manually?

    His budget seems to be in the 15K range. Given that the GTX460 is going to be phased out and the 570 being around 20K odd gives him slim pickings from Team Green. Unless you count the GTX470 but then again that's being phased out too.

     

    Yup man. The Nvidia fermi is going to be phased out and i saw that the 6850 could be overclocked to over (940+)core clock using msi afterburner or Gpu tool... But still fermi is a good card.

    I have a samsung monitor which supports max 1600x900 res. But i thought of getting the new 68xx series.

    Hey guys! Help me select the right graphic card for my pc. I already have a PALIT HD4850 but it has gotten old and no longer offers the same performance as before. I plan on upgrading to a new card and i need sound advice on which card i am gonna choose.

     

    1. HD 5850

    2. HD 6850

    3. HD 6870

    These are the three cards in my budget and i am in a dilemma and i do not know which to choose.

    Here are my RIG specs

    Processor : AMD PHENOM X4 9950 BE

    Ram: 4 GB DDR2 (Transcend)

    PSU: Cooler Master EXTERME POWER 600W SMPS

    MOBO: GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H

     

    I know that the ATI HD6850 card can be overclocked to extreme ends but i am also confused if every card can be overclocked. I also know that the 5850 is also a powerful card and the HD6870 is not a slouch either.

    Even if i narrow it down to any one card which is the most preferrable i.e, in terms of the seller. Which is the best Sapphire,palit,Powercolor,XFX,HIS or ASUS?

    I will be thankful if you can point me out to the right card.

    One thing which i didn't liked at all is the game does not introduces you to optional activities well like Poker , only if you go and play.

     

    Also the Font used to display text is pathetic its hardly readable.

     

    Nearing the end of the game.But :doh: Some jackass on youtube spoiled the story for me when i was looking for a trophy guide..

    Getting the game for the ps3 today. Imported copy.. :mellow:

     

    Cant wait to start.

    I just got the game today. Played for an hour, so jus initial impressions

     

    1. Missions so far have not been that much fun though I guess that aspect should improve once my character settles inside the world.

    2. A lot of side missions randomly pop up as u meet people. Sorta like a Fallout 3. Plus you can turn into a hero or an outlaw depending on how u play the game and the choices u make during messions. (ala infamous)

    3. Graphically the game looks great even on the ps3. There is some slowdown during heavy gunfights otherwise its fine. It hung on me once tho after the game slowed to a screenaver eventually freezing.

     

    The basic story of the game is very simple, though I hope a lot of suprises and twists are thrown in

     

     

    where did you get it in chennai man? So has the official copies come to stores yet?

    just asked prashant on his site. he said he has no clue when its going to be out but he will find out soon

     

     

    Man. Grey market for me from now on. I have never seen such a botched up release before. NOt worth the 250 bucks i am gonna save by ordering the official copy

    :) I haven't finished gow3 yet,I was hoping the delay in RDR's release would give me enough time.Is there a difference between the imported copy and the e-express one?

     

     

    There's no difference. I only ordered the official copy for the price discount. Now i regret it.
