Well my luck with newly released electronics has been bad for past few years

The one i had nearby was siddansh electronics SC now it's closed, so I'll try other places. Anyway with flipkart and amazon & shopat SC is COD an option ? Else i will have to keep 50k in bank account to do Card or net banking payment. Will i have to pay on the time of pre order or will they take order and then ask for payments when they get stock ?

I would suggest you buy from the place where you usually buy other electronics from if you're sceptical. Like I said you'll be lucky if you can get it anywhere plus if your luck sucks I'd say you can get a lemon even if you buy one directly from Sony's factory. I have bought stuff from flipkart, amazon, i am on their notification list for ps5 but only GTS is saying they will have pre orders up on 17th. My nearest sony center is gone now, the closest one now is a half an hour away and with high covid rise i would avoid that since it's in a area where covid cases can be high because of the locality near the center.

Anyway about the PS5 any other shop other than games the shop who is getting it, flipkart, amazon, RD or any other ? And can i do cash on delivery ? I'd like to keep options open, last time games the shop website crashed and other sites didn't work for me as well.

The shop i am informed from is legit into stuff this was a decade back, and he named sony mony not some other big chain also it was not for ps3, it was advice for other electronic goods, but i wouldn't buy from a shady shop anyway.

My friends bro got his aussie ps5, and a couple of friends in canada got their ps5s, all are great, 99% of the time the factory A lot is sold there, and damaged of partially defective but working stuff is sold here, i had 2 kaput ps3s. The initial batches of the new system are always B-Grade here, my ps4 pro is now 3yrs in but seeing how late i got it in ps4 lifecycle i got a good one.

In india i see a trend some stores are sh*t at getting imports or product handling, i got my X1X on amazon and PS4 Pro from sony center, but now amazon doesn't have a ps5 and my nearest sony center closed idk why it was such a great place the staff was great as well. A well known gaming importer shop nearby once told me avoid buying from sony mony they remove all good parts install used ones and then sell the product as new, i can trust that shop, all my samsung notes from croma and samsung shop had to be replaced but the samsung phones i got from flipkart worked well. If all these shop get direct sony imports i do feel there is a cream of the crop thing at play and some shops work only for sony to sell their bad lot, happened with me with my ps3 slim bought at hypercity, it's lens died in 2 years.

To those who already have the PS5 purchased during it's official sale here, i would like to know the shop where most stable units come from. I would like to avoid the lose tape fan noise issue, ssd corruption issue, broken dualsense issue, and most hardware issues it has. Recently had medical expenses so really need to spend money on a store than imports good build quality PS5. Also with games the shop how can we pre book on may 17? Do we have to pay full or COD works ? I am from mumbai and idk how to book it, i have a reliance digital 15m away from home but feels risky going out, which websites will have online pre orders? Been away from this for quite a while and feel lost on these flash sales

Are the ps5 issues bugs ironed out to buy it, 2 which concerned me are, lose tape that makes console fan noise and ssd curruption that requires console replacement, idk how anyone can replace the console in high covid 2nd wave, since the andheri sony service center is far from my place.

Agree about power outage thing but can series x store current date and time without being connected to the internet. My one x can't, it just shows some old factory date and messes up my game saves. On Ps4 without internet current date and time is stored. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk

No, when i was on tour in france a couple years back, the pair of shoes i bought before the trip were looking better than new even after days of sightseeing, walking in snow, roads, near nature trails etc, no freakin dust or water on em, i had to use a tissue on em only once when some spec of food item fell on em. Those countries are just beyond anything here.

Thanks how is your series x holding up do you face the problems with launch consoles people post on you tube, like the disc not being read, the xbox light keeps blinking and disc isn't getting inserted among other stuff. I haven't bought a launch console since my fat ps3 60gb which was notorious for dying which it lived up to within 2 years. But my launch xbox one x is still great though MS had time to figure out the xbox one hw quirks and fix em. The other issue that worries is that covid is mutating and the vaccines are nothing but temporary reliefs which can't completely erase covid. So another worry is that if the world shuts down again and even if it resumes at some point, india will never be a priority to sell these new consoles since the companies will want to recover covid time losses and will only keep inventory for big markets. Frankly to say i feel like i am leaning more towards the xbox series x for hardware but same story sony has the games even though their system is buggy AF. A part of me is like fuk it there is no certainty to anything with this pandemic might as well buy a new system though I'm sealing my wallet really hard to control em urges.

If PS5/XSX restocks should i buy it, with covid games are getting delayed, most games on XSX can run on my one x. The whole reason i feel like i need to buy the new consoles is because the silicon chip shortage which i feel might actually get worse. But then the counter argument i have with myself is if there aren't many new systems in the hands of buyers then games will be developed for ps4 and x1 like how god of war ragnarok is now rumored to be released on ps4. At least XSX has 820GB usable storage, PS5 has shitty 660GB usable storage, plus PS5 has many issues covered by multiple youtubers like drive and fan noise, stick drift, random hdd crashes, system errors etc What do you guys think how much longer will this chip shortage last ?

Looking to buy a samsung a51 from flipkart, it has a samsung care+ plan for Rs.1999/- is it worth it, they say they cover accidental front and back damage and liquid damage anyone ever got benefits of samsung care+ ?
