  1. Like adity says, save up for a better display
  2. With that budget sadly you won't get anything good. Most TVs this year are slightly worse than their last year models. Eg. RU8000 is better than TU8000. This is the same case over all price points with all brands like sony, samsung and LG. You should buy a 2021 model for your bedroom. They might release sonething good for this price segment. As it stands this year every TV maker was shockingly lazy. Maybe all of them knew HDMI 2.1 issues. So they released new TVs for the sake of it and secretly worked on new models for next year Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk
  3. Try looking at these two Sony X7002G 4k tv 43 inch (linux based i guess) Samsung TU8000 43 inch (300 nits max) The monitors in that price range might give you better color accuracy idk for sure but then it's a trade off of screen size vs PQ. With a TV you get much better control and functionality of the display but trade off is QC, panel lottery. You should factor in the sound setup into your purchase as well as TV and monitor speakers are not the best but with tv speakers you can get by. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk
  4. If you are absolutely fine with not having 4k120 then look no further than this TV. In the linked frame review Check the 12.50m onwards mark the guy says he uses it for a dedicated pc monitor so you are good as well for all your requirements. Frankly watch the entire video if you have the time and interest, i enjoyed watching it when i was looking for a TV. Just take real good care of one connect box and one connect cable. If you can't really wait for the 2021 models this TV or the Q60r 43 inch will be good choices but the Q60r 43 inch will be very hard to find and i will suggest not buying the Q60t. Is waiting a couple of months at all not possible? Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk
  5. To be frank, most PC monitors don't have the nits for modern day gaming, even costly high end ones available here cap out below 400 nits, you should get a 50 inch samsung frame or 43 inch Q60r [if you can find it]. Best is wait for 2021 TV, we are getting mini leds from samsung and LG, so the picks will be better. In US they are getting monitors with higher nits and local dimming but that is at a price point where you get better TVs, nowadays people are using TVs for gaming, mostly the PC scene is shifting towards that, you can't get away with buying a cheap 4k TV for that though. Simply put anything TV wise you buy will get you 4k60 fine but 4k120 is broken AF for any brand, no current model can get you that. Best is look for 2021 models, What you want to look for is all 7.5+ greens on Rtings, for gaming it has to 8+ scores. If you get into the technicality of those numbers then you'll have to check according to individual needs. LG's best is OLED, nanocell can improve only if they add mini leds, sammy's best is QLED, the budget ones will do if they give you mini leds, sony's best is something like the x900h. There is nothing to buy right now frankly there is no hidden gem, believe me, i freakin looked everywhere, and came to this conclusion.
  6. Wow great stuff, when they packed that TV in a full thurmacoal protected box my heart was screaming in joy, and the guy was spot on that other companies just add some small top and bottom thurmacoal pieces for the tv while packing. These guys idk why they are not manufacturing for other big companies, a couple of employees did place the tv roughly but rest seemed good. Idk if you posted the video to praise or point some issue in kodak or thompson. Guys do let me know which is the best kodak or thompson TV for gaming with full HDMI 2.0b coverage and good PQ, FALD is not important as i am looking for a temparory tv which i'll just shift to another room
  7. Does anyone here use a Kodak 4k TV? At 28k it has 3 hdmi ports idk the version. It is advertised as 500 nits on flipkart? Considering it for a temporary TV Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk
  8. how to easily root moto g3, is there an app for root and unroot on playstore ?
  9. its a moto g3 which is the best software, all i see on net are shady links or a $69 software
  10. I accidentally deleted saved screenshots and pictures from a family phone, as there were two copies of the same pctures folder with same size of 6.01gb and same sub folders in it, i only deleted one but both got deleted , i used astro file manager, is there a way to recover them ?
  11. Is appario just using cloudtail warehouse or is it a full fledged first party amazon owned seller ? Like how omnitechretail, retailnet are both flipkart first party sellers
  12. Damn this X90H double comparison video is a bomb, any LG CX or C9 owner who has dirt 5 please check if you can see crowds in stands at 4K120. In the below video check 8.20m mark onward, Vincent points out that crowds are missing in 4k120 which was the same case when the other tv running at 4k120, now running at 4k60 it has crowds. LG CX owners if possible post the 4k120 pic of the game with crowds and that info menu you get by pressing the green remote key 8 times
  13. Can you name the good and bad shops, retail chains?
  14. Yes absolutely once you suffer DSE, vertical bars, you do tend to look deeper. I never took that stuff seriously as online everyone says if you go into looking for stuff you don't see you are ruining the TV for yourself. Guess what i took the advice, and after 1 hour of getting the TV and turning on a match of football i started seeing bars, then did the uniformity test to find DSE and bars. To all new buyers take DSE very very seriously, once you look at the crap screen, it's over for that TV, you'll just want it gone from your sight.
  15. Which are the ill reputed stores that sell demo units and which are the good ones? Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk
  16. If you are considering a Q95T and want a TV now i don't get why not the LG CX or BX. X90h is a hit or miss depending on heavy luck. With lack of smoothgradation you will see color banding. Especially very bad in some instances of NFS Heat where you complete sonething important a black screen with your car shows up with some event completion nessage and the aura of colors surrounding it you know should be a smooth gradiation oattern but what is shows on x90h is a band of rainbow pattern colors. Kunjan got a very good deal abd was lucky to get a good panel. There are bad cases for the TV out there like mine. The VFN factor is there but is too annoying to de with if you get a bad panel. 17. They have particular rules of keeping it in a 4 inch loop. I wonder if one can find a ziplock bag or sone fancy case like that airpod max case. If you even twist it samsung care video says you might break it. It's too delicate imo Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk
  18. Ah i got a bad replacement for the 1st bad one i got, both had dealbreaking vertical bars while gaming, and some amount of bars on normal content, i am in refund process now, which is taking it's time. This TV is a hit or miss, same goes for Q80t you are looking into, Q95T is not worth it, might as well get a LG CX or wait for CES 2021 models. I know people here don't like quantum TV but he has some pretty convincing stuff on why to avoid the Q90T/Q95T, he is really into his Q8FN so his comparisons as a previous samsung customer are well done. Main point samsung screwed the Q90T local dimming with recent software update, he shows it in one comparison video. Q80t has DSE as well & the flicker vrr issues at 120hz are more than LG CX. Only TV with no DSE i see online is the frame, i imagine since it's a lifestyle TV very high QC has been done.
  19. Thanks got through it, some things i did not get, at the end they tell you to get LCD for 24-bit color but aren't our TVs limited to 10-bit or max 12-bit color ? Also at first they say both LCD and OLED use PWM so what to get then ? I won't be using a TV in a pure dark room anyway, I'll have some lights on.
  20. You sure ? you need 12-bit colors for that, HDMI 2.1. The BT2020 currently only shows 87% of it's full potential on the TVs that fully support it like this years A8H Second this, most people here seem to have a great uniform panel, though i'd love to hear how you keep the one connect cable safe How did it get burn in from like 6 months of it being released here, also vertical bars on this too ? Damn frak i had it with big TVs
  21. Ok so with my time with the X90H i played HDR games. And even if i kept the brightness low at 25/50 and contrast 65/100 the PQ was still bright. Now the problem i am facing day to day is when i use my PC or even the phone the regular brightness that is around 35/100 now seems too low and pressures my eyes. I know high brightness is not healthy so i don't use it. I am new to 4k HDR and these aftereffects are weird. I use eye drops suggested by my eye doctor so eye burn and fatigue is minimized. But I'd like to know is this something you guys face, on reddit I've seen OLED owners having such issues. Is there a brand with great PQ on low brightness contrast settings? On sony everything looks good when you crank up the brightness to 35+ and contrast to 90+ but this is not ideal and with long gaming session it hurts the eyes. I'd like something that gives same level of PQ with let's say brightness at 25/50 and contrast around 65/100 If gou have a reddit sub recommendation to ask the same thing maybe a medical opthalmalogist sub then do guide me to it. Thanks Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk
  22. From where did you get those 6 inch joe figs damn, i'm looking for snake eyes and storm shadow
  23. Thanks updating the game now, will check the event as soon as i can get the game running
  24. Can i get this only today by logging in?
  25. Imo LG may have made PC Baaed on monitors which can't go beond 350 nits. That's why maybe you have higher nits on TV and the connected consoles might still be recognized as PC. Anyway hope you can get good results in standard mode Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk
