  1. Wtf lol why not for burn in or delicate TV. So what are we left with BC projector buy kare kya LMAO Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk
  2. Well that is a panel lottery in it's own in terms of after service. Itna nekdil banda milna chahiye pahele. Oh man companies go out of the way here to screw the indian consumer. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk
  3. Are you sure they do curtsey replacement in india though AFAIK it only happens in 1st world countries. Also can we get 3 years warrenty like now when the C1 comes out around march or april next year? I don't want to wait till diwali to get 3yr and then add 2 more. Even if i get 3 yr warranty at C1 launch i would just keep it and won't add another 2 since those would cost around 80k. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk
  4. OLED owners here our concern for gane bars and huds is unjustified. We don't watch dth that much. Family watches 1 show and some news. Me a football match and news. And maybe sone rare infotainment. Other than that gaming for 5 hours daily since it's covid. If no covid then 2 hours of daily gaming. Like jigsaw if i go oled it would last me the sane time i guess but i do hope LG do that curtosy panel replacement for burn in. Breaking the screen though is my worry. Since when i enquired about it the screen costs like 90k to 1L. Which is almost a new LG OLED during festive periods. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk
  5. Blooming too is a overblown issue. Head on i didn't notice it though with the second X90H in AC odyssey it had weird halos of light around stuff like the light point on ports you use to call the ship. If you want home theatre fun then i guess nothing is there except OLed. Though check tomorrows samsungs webinar for their micro led releases. They might release a micro led tv at 65 inches though it seems 75 will be minimum size. Also micro leds don't suffer from high burn in risk. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk
  6. The thing about burn in is it really that bad ? does the logo that burns in always visible like those bars on the x90h i had ? Frankly burn in is now least of my worries if i go for OLED purely for uniformity, then keeping that TV always safe will give me sleepless nights (-_-")
  7. Just avoid 2020 TVs i guess, like everyone is saying this year all TVs were crap, the frame was a good all rounder but delicate cable, OLEDs are good but delicate. Anyone of you who are very eager for a gaming TV just wait i guess if you have a working TV at home.
  8. Seriously what is samsung doing, with sony not doing anything new in TV space i was hoping of upgrading to samsung, i wish when LG launches the C1 in India they at least give 3 years warranty so people can jump in day 1. With C1 around corner and micro and mini LED tech around the corner, 2021 will be a total reverse of crap 2020 TV year
  9. HDTVTest and Fomo are LG sellouts. DF sold out to nanocell promotion recently. QuantumTV loves his Q8fn thiugh does have some helpful info. HDTVtest and rtings showed fake gray uniformity for x90h. Some reddit users on my c90h issue thread commented that some owners there also faced vertical bar issue. Some think it is a FALD thing. But these famous youtubers never say anything. So you can't rely on any of en and have to watch all of en then search reddit to really know what is the real thing. I do nultiplayer gaming to a good extent so i am worried about a flickering screen. Also it seens to be a demanding game thing. Ori and forza horizon 4 are not that graphically intense for current hardware. But COD is. So do feel worried since it is a 1L+ investment. If it was 50k I'd just buy it but around and after 1L you subconciously expect a product that works as advertised. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk
  10. Are christmas sales as big as diwali sales in india? Also can we do without local dimming if i keep on the light sensor or if i don't play in the dark at all? Uniformity is more important to ne than night or dark room viewing as i never watch TV under those circumstances. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk
  11. Came across this today. Check after the 15m mark if you are pressed for time. It seems ori doesn't put VRR to test since it's single player and forza isn't 120fps. But COD is intensive and demanding and it is causing flicker for this guy. And his findings in video are similar to yours for ori and forza. So while it is good to hear. But intense compititve games like cod do leave some worry since the screen will be filled with many things happening when connected to the internet so it will make the frame rate go bonkers with random spikes and falls. 12. Good to hear of some improvement. Mind sharing the pics of the display behavior you call color banding and oil painting. Standard color banding exists that's why we have smooth gradation feature. X90H doesn't have it just saying for anyone looking at the TV. If you mean vertical bars like mine though then that is a different thing. Now moving to oil painting. This makes me picture the oled display which crushes the blacks somewhat on LG so that it looks that way. With sony Oled black crush is a bit less. But this is the standard oled thing which i imagine you'll have to play with settings to reduce it to some extent. I for one sometimes enjoy the image if it looks like a painting. I was in love with X90h because of that. The area of orphans of brockback bog in witcher 3 looked like a creepy oil painting on the x90h and i was in awe just slowly roaming here n there to enjoy it. X90h had a knack to display this effect cleverly abd at right times. It's a damn fukin shame it suffered from such weird issues. I still miss it every day. Though with all it's quirks i wouldn't recommend it. If you are talking about a altogether different oil painting effect though then like i said please post both the effects pics. We'd be able to help you better to our extent. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk
  13. Here are the pics 1st is the superb W700C quality the usual old Malaysia imported i guess, crisp AF, that made me buy a sony again. Ignore roach he seems to think i left him to go on a boat already [emoji1787] 2nd X90H that makes me question is it this bad because made in india or the cheap mediatek processor or IDK what. You can see DSE + vigneting at the bottom left and right corners. And vigneting at the top left and right cornera. In NFS Heat the DSE was seen time to time such that i felt like the florida swampy kichad was pasted on my screen. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk
  14. But my W700C was a cheap TV and it seemed way better in PQ than the X90H if you consider clarity here I'm posting the pic soon. A bit grayish blacks are fine if i don't get DSE and vertical bars. Trust me that sh*t is a total dealbreaker and will drive anyone nuts. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk
  15. Looking at budget options one of em is sony x702g. Anyone using it here? What is the peak hdr brightness X800G seems crap with poor color collaboration so avoiding that Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk
  16. I am sad as you to let the TV go. I have a couple witcher 3 comparision pics of old TV W700C without any DSE, vigneting and x90h with heavy DSE abd vigneting at all corners. I'll post em when i get time. Now many people IRL are telling us don't buy during diwali sales as companies roll out defective units. I was skeptic about this at first but now so scared even to buy a new TV. After going through sh*t hell. The saddest part i loved thr X90H and it backstabbed me [emoji24] Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk
  17. Yes in process for refund Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk
  18. I'm half tempted but now it seems it has 10-bit color issues so that makes me lean towards C1. Let's see if i can get a CX below 1L like one of those diwali offers. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk
  19. DSE is primarily very much visible in video games. Non bright scenes like sky shots during day. Which is most of the time in AC AC odyssey. In fall guys the coloration is such that you can see it. In extreme bright games like Kingdom hearts 3 which feels like your betflix dth content you will fibd it hard to see them. In football or F1 racing you can see them when you see pitch or track partially and then sky. Though mostly it is vastly visible in gaming. DSE and vertical bars just ruin the entire viewing experience. As of now if you can then post good quality HDR pics of the sun in non over exposed sky. Since we need to check HDR highlights. @everyone I would just get a TCL R635 but it's not available here. Any toshiba equivalent to the same level of Hisense h9g or TCL R635? Need to have a display or last option is keep on using the monitor. When can i expect 2021 TVs samsung, sony, lg to hit indian market? If it's February then I'll suck it up and wait. When LG C1 launches it will be above 2L for 55 inch ? So will have to wait till diwali next year. Which doesn't seem possible. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk
  20. What I'd do in your case is try to take pictures of both settings in different inputs like PC and game. Try to isolate the culprit setting. Then go to standard mode and do the mix of good settings from both. It is simple to isolate the problem this way. For the sony x90h as long as you turned off stuff that introduces lag then it was as good as game mode as long as you had the settings i quoted above. Since yours is an LG it might work in a different way. But better try and see if it fixes the issue else. Reddit has tones of people like us who go through sane stuff so help is much easier to find. Since they will have faced similar issue and will have ready fixes. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk
  21. Game mode washes everything out on most TVs. I'm just gonna post the reddit comment that worked for me. I never use gane mode for HDR anymore. At first i did but as i used below settings then when i played fall guys the colors popped way too much since it wasn't HDR to the point of hurting the eyes. So you clearly need to use two different profiles. I use game mode for online games and have to keep a remote besides me to adjust contrast depending on the game. After playing with the settings you get to know which functions introduce input lag like motion flow so jeep that off. I played forza in standard mode not game mode still it worked great. I kept xtended dynamic range on high since i needed more graphical bliss. Abd still had no issues. I don't play online shooters so for that maybe someone else can guide you. But the below settings have worked for a good deal of redditors idk how you can do this with LG maybe adjust the same things on your TV. What is your exact LG model number? Best way is to find an LG sub or LCD/LED sub make a post based on your model number and you'll get great help within a short while. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk
  22. Here you go, if you are on gamepass then ori and gears 5, COD warzone and cold war and among some other in the below list https://www.windowscentral.com/xbox-series-x-games-list
  23. When you get the time lemme know if you can personally test this if you have any system that can do 4k120 ? After experiencing 4k60fps, i don't think i can go back, it's just so good, with 4k30 in FH4 i had to be a better driver as frames were skipping and making turns was hard depending on terrain, on 4k60 it was like the TV was compensating for my errors during turns etc, and this was a mix of off road and on road terrain so i was amazed how a jump in FPS did this much, now to imagine 4k120 with proper VRR, i would feel like gliding on air. That feel is just surreal. Also with X90H i got to check out BT2020 Colors and those are legit good.
  24. With 2021 TVs around the corner i have one option of buying a budget TV and then shift it to another room. @hussain you bought the TU8000 right, can you post some HDR pics preferably of AC Odyssey or some game with similar high HDR quality, Sun shots during day in game where the sun lights up with yellow and red effects. TU8000 TV seems good overall but Rtings shows around 290 nits of HDR brightness, with the X90H i had something around 500-600 nits i guess. Also please post a pic like this, where the sky isn't dark and not lit up by sunlight, this is a good shot to check for vertical bars, also is there any dirty screen effect on tu8000
  25. Wait CX can't properly support 10bit color ? 10 bit colors are around 1 billion and 12 bit colors are 64 times that, so less banding where it is noticeable, yeah i know LG has smooth gradation. But do clarify about the full 10 bit support
