For how much is CX going for in mumbai, can we get the 97K price that was going on around diwali ? Will i still get free 3year warranty and +2 years for 20k?
-
Yeah i just checked the Linus LG ZX vid, he says LG have given full 48GBPS bandwidth on ports 1 and 2 of it and 40gbps on 3 and 4. So idk why they limited the CX lineup. I do hope they get a 12-bit oled panel next year since after spending that much, i want it future proof as much since we don't have costco level luxuries of updating TVs every couple of years. Btw when do LG offer 3 years warranty and 2+ years for 20k apart from diwali? I imagine C1 will release around May 2021 here, ideally i don't want to wait till next year end to get these offers.

Can anyone help, where can i get a TCL R635 TV? seems so good on a budget

None bro no worries, i had a redditor post amazing HDR settings, and i played forza horizion 4, 4K60 FPS, it was amazing, it just adjusts brightness and contrast to give you better results, i keep it at medium, and all those youtubers whining about blooming is uncalled for, you watch the TV head on, you don't notice blooming unless you sit up or go to the sides. On most sets local dimming should be set to medium. I'd stay away from any current nanocell models if i was a gamer, they are overpriced, also frame owners here say local dimming is not necessary if you get good brightness. Nanocell is a paid promotion youtuber agenda, iff you are around youtube long enough and watched many videos you get to know the youtubers i don't mean personally i mean the lifestyle, austin evans who is rich enough was seen promoting a crap LG Nanocell nano86, that TV is crap 1.5 local dimming ratings on rtings, so much DSE and uniformity issues.Same goes for other nanocell promoters now digital foundry threw away their repute to promote a crap TV for a monthly paycheck. If you are spending big OLED, if on a budget anything LCD/LED than current LG LCD/LED. Don't oblige to people spewing crap about be positive don't look for DSE, uniformity issues if you don't see them. I went for X90H as store unit was good. Thank god i guess, when i got my first x90h and started watching football i noticed the bars, you need to do those test on all models at shop and home. People will say live a an idea world scenario but when things go south you will be the one trying to get justice, to minimize the luck factor do uniformity tests at store, they have internet and youtube which helps.

If i get it, then our room is a living room of sorts, so i am scared during heavy festive cleaning like using vaccum cleaners over the TV walls and also there are electrical sockets over there, and as you know electricians are always in a hurry, so i wonder if i have to do any electrical related work around those sockets then I'll have to be on their necks to handle the TV properly, i feel OLEDs should be more sturdier, they are as thin as samsung's one connect cable, and both require heavy precaution. Btw is the TCL R635 available here, i see it is a really good budget offering and can get me through till next crop of TVs launch.

I didn't write off oled, i didn't want to buy CX for specific personal reasons, you should remember i was 110% ready to buy C9. But couldn't find it. I never wrote off OLED or LG.
-
Nanocell sucks whatever big youtubers tell you, go with CX. Nanocell colors are so saturated and unreal punchy, the gray black uniformity is bad as per rtings tests.

I did read about the individual zones turning on and off and checked the whole videos on it. But none of them showed any vertical bars i had, i don't know how i ended up with 2 units from different batches with the same fault, but honestly i keep getting comments that intend to help but cause confusion, some users told me the bars might be because local dimming was on so i had tested keeping it off, idk if this is a issue with local dimming in general but there are users who post they don't have any bars on the Local dimming TV. So it is very hard to pinpoint the issue. I'll keep the OLED thing in mind but now with C1 and B1 around the corner i don't know if i should spend the same money on this year's models, I'm very scared, i don't know if it was bad luck, or if sony manufactures near delhi so you guys got a good batch and something goes wrong till the stocks reach mumbai. But overall this has been a learning yet mentally agonizing experience for our family. In india DSE, banding, dead pixels don't have customer friendly replacement policies. They expert you to accept their POS product however it is once it leaves the store. I can't believe luck plays a factor when you spend so much money on a TV. I get that it is a LCD thing but with proper QC from factory to user home it can be minimized alot. I read during transit to the cities these people roughly put the TVs in tempos sometimes if only 1 person is there and if they can't carry the large TV, they jusst roll the box thinking thurmacoal padding will keep it safe, but even these shocks provide impact to damage the LCD/LED to create panel issues. OLEDs do have such issues as well though i guess not as bad. But their delicate build is of another concern more than burn in, one wrong thud on that panel feels to me like it will break it. That to was a concern when i had decided to go for x90h. I would like to know how OLED owners handle and keep their panels safe day to day, especially during festive cleaning etc that involves us being tired and unaware of the surrounding.

I had the same issue on the replacement you can check the pics i posted here in priir posts a week back i guess. The whitish bars i see on left and right side don't seem to be caused by banding. Those seen something else. Also the DSE is also there in situations where it is noticible. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk

Yes I'll check. This is what they had posted under connections section for 55 inch frame 2020. You did extensive research on the frame right how is the one connect cable? If it or the OCB breaks how is the availability. I was told the box would be around 40% of TV cost. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk

Yeah do avoid X90H on reddit the feedback was mixed. And QC in their countries is much higher. Heck costco with sony's blessing gave sony owners there 3 years free warranty. As a very happy x950g owner posted on bravia sub a few weeks back. If it helps you out i learnt that bigger the LCD the more it's prone to bars and DSE. Idk how local dimming affects it as even when i kept it off i got those vertical bars. If you are getting the same offers on CX like last month then great. Frame seems to be great as well. I did not post the frame info to make anyone feel worried. I just saw it and thought it would help people buying the TV. With frame i feel worried about the one connect cable it's delicate nature and availability. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk

Bhai if you are satisfied with your TV then chill. Me posting info i find while searching for myself might help someone else buying a new tv. We are a community after all helping each other. From what i have learnt from my issue with X90h is that DSE vertical bars is a real dealbreaking issue. Vincent teoh, rtings get hand picked best models for reviews and those do not at all represent the retail crap people get. Rtings from what i see generalizes everything. Q80t has 1 hdmi 2.1 mentioned in their review but they do not mention the 49 inch model has all hdmi 2.0b. This is important to know as most of the people are upgrading based on hdmi 2.1 availability for future proofing. Crutchfield has posted detailed info on all products on their website about each size. Maybe that is why they are setting high standards in their retail industry. So let it be and don't start a debate between us. I had no intention other than spreading info and gaining info. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk

So i post important info i find for the benefit of the community and you are going to dismiss it as a worry. I am really shocked how indian buyers take everything so casually. We are paying the same amount as foreigners. They take their purchase seriously and don't leave the companies unchecked for their mistakes. Half the time these companies get away in the indian market with false advertisement is because of the buyers. You maybe well informed but to those noobs who buy samsung TVs because they offer 10 years burn in warranty is laughable. We all know QLED and most LCD/LED TVs will never have burn in and certainly not to the visible extent. So basically samsung is false advertising and winning buyers by luring them with a non existant 10 year warranty. Every electronic purchase in india is a worry. I had my fair share of issues with orders from US amazon but the people there are so good that i was left sh9cked with the amount of care they put in to treat me well as a customer. My so called assumed worry is about the made in india and overall the sh*t i have to buy here because most of the sh*t lacks any QC. We could get better priducts but i do feel we get refurbished products repacked as new ones here in india. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk

I thought so too but apparently Crutchfield as i checked it on google, it seems to be one of the top US retailers, winning some retail awards for 17 years in a row, so if they are saying 55 inch frame 2020 has 4 hdmi 2.0b then i do feel worried on how this product is being advertised.
-
Idk if this is a legit top site but on here the frame 2020 55 inch does not show it has a HDMI 2.1 port in it's description but only the 75 inch frame 2020 shows it has 1 hdmi 2.1 port. The 55 inch shows 4 HDMI 2.0b. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_30555LS03T/Samsung-QN55LS03T-The-Frame.html So i checked with Q80T 49 inch and 55 inch description respectively and their HDMI port as as they are advertised by samsung. So i wonder how the frame 2020 does 4k120fps ? Is it like the Q90R where a single HDMI port can still achieve 4K120fps ? And can frame 2020 55inch achieve 4k120fps VRR ? I wonder how companies in india get away with not being transparent about what they are selling, i can't believe we get such info from foreign sites instead of companies advertising them clearly on Specs page of the respective products.

Try football. In DTH content i see only left and right whitish bars most time. I mostly play games and on TV watch football. With news and a few TV shows i saw those whitish bars. If you could get a console from some place then try games. Mostly the sky shots i showed in AC also in fall guys when it's light. Even in shadows of war i sometimes now see those left and right bars in sky or on normal area depending on the scene and lighting. I was playing kingdom hearts 3 which has alot of bright scenes like your pics and those bars don't show up. They are there but don't stand out. You'll have to check some area where they are visible. This issue isn't definitely a rare occurrence. While playing games like Assassin's creed it is downright horrible experience. On one hand you see HDR glory of the sun and then you see a sky with bars makes you feel like it's a fancy wrinked curtain or whatever. It is bad, on this one that when i go to ps4 settings menu i can clearly see those whitish bars appearing on what normally is a blue interface. That particular area of the screen has a white vertical bar. Thus making the colors of that area appear light blue or whitish bar depending on your perception. After checking if those bars aren't there it's great for you. But I'd say anyone who is yet to buy the TV should avoid it. And look elsewhere. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk

Manual firmware update isn't recommended and if things go wrong which is the plague for most X90H owners on the community then sony india will give me trouble for performing an unofficial software update. Please avoid this sh*t TV. If the Q80t has the only issue of a single port and no display issue then get that. Else we have frame owners which can give performance feedback. Else go for OLED if you see a good deal. But i repeat this x90h crap isn't worth your hard earned money. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk

So for my case it seems to be the panel Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk

I did post youtube gray uniformity pics which shows all the bars, i did it for old and current TV. I don't use netflix or prime. But with TV shows mostly the left and right whitish bars are there. With gaming it's the full course. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk

TV issue here just check a few posts back and you will see the xbox one logo abd bars around it. For your doubt here is a forza horizon 4 xb1x camera mode shot of sky. You can see whitish bars on the area where altitude 3.8ft is written. On a clearer sky it's more prevalent. And since during games we constantly rotate cameras we are bound to see the sky or lighter scenes every now and then. And then we see the bars. It's very annoying and troubling to the eye. Now after doing constant testing on the replacement TV i am feeling a strong headache. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk

Ok so here are pics of Assassin's creed odyssey on ps4 pro. This is as close to what i am seeing and i must say this is a fukin pathetic TV. False advertising and promotion at it's finest. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk

Pics please preferably in games like sky shots or xbox bootup logo, PS start screen doesn't do it as it's bright blue so it's hard to capture those bars on camera, also if you do the LCD backlight uniformity test then please post 20% 40% pics, as 100 % or near it gets bright and to capture those bars on camera gets tedious. I think sony have really made X90H owners guinea pigs, now i get why X95H didn't get HDMI 2.1 bells and whistles, as they had implementation issues and they wanted to advertise X90h as the PS5 TV to sell like hotcakes, which they fulfilled, now they can test their sh*t on us and make 2021 TVs great, seems like that's why they didn't make the 55 & 65X95H available in india so that to divert new buyers to Well after this i have developed trust issues, i don't fukin see an honest company in india. All are selling refurbished TVs made from TVs people replace in first world countries. The sony mumbai head even told us our old TV may even be sold somewhere for 50k and on hifivision a guy who's cousin worked at a high post in samsung said, they take out good parts from the TV and use it on new TVs. When i asked sony to send proof that they are replacing the set as they were taking too much time, they mentioned in the mail they deem the set is fine and they are only replacing as a good gesture, but on hifivision and reddit many users and users of the same model clearly said the panel was faulty, the sony engineer they sent also said the lines were visible to him, yet in he mail they said after thorough testing their person didn't find any faults. So many words they twisted, They also made us sign an indemnity letter which they say is so that bajaj or vijay sales can't claim the defective old TV, but this was the first time i or any people on hifivision heard of such a thing. I seriously expected sony to have high quality standards, since their partner HDTV Test and others they show on their product page show a panel with great uniformity.. Even rtings too. So naturally if a product doesn't seem faulty buyers will buy it. So now that leaves a question is the product itself this bad or sony india just has bad quality control for X90H priced TVs.

For DTH the left and right side whitish bars you see on xbox one logo pics are there, for gaming however you see all of em, i have observed them during many games, they tend to be less visible during bright content like NFS Heat and dark content like shadows of war, but very noticeable when i play fall guys, assassins creed odyssey when you see sky and some light objects, i see them in forza horizon 4 also in the sky,. You really should check gaming, i don't keep brightness more than 30, i keep gamma on default, though keeping brightness to higher value doesn't help much either. I played with most settings by now tweaked in every way, nothing works, only thing left is a software update which sony still hasn't released, it's shocking the TV is out for 6 months or so but i don't think India ever got a single update. I'd say avoid this TV, keyofx said it might be a batch thing but it isn't my first one was of Oct 2020 and this one is of Nov 2020, i guess sony is getting away with unsuspecting buyers who don't even know they have DSE, i don't know what is up with TVs, OLEDs have burn in, LCD/LEDs have DSE and poor uniformity, damn it just make everything IPS. At least sh*t works flawlessly for years. I don't get how mobile screens are flawless and TV screens have variety of issues, isn't it just a bigger screen, why the fuk they can't implement the same stuff that works great for mobiles, ipads, alienware and imac screens into the TV. If a 90k TV works like this all it leaves is a dirty aftertaste.

This is the best possible poc to the real deal. I had to take multiple pics to get the result somewhere to what we see. This is not at all normal. If you think it's because of local dimming then even if i keep it off the bars are visible. Plus we are not getting any software update to check if it can solve it. But as i have seen it on 2 sets now it seems it's a quality control issue at those make in india factories or transportation issues. As I've checked these are the things that lead to DSE. And the Xbox logo does have those cheap bars along with other games. But those are very visible in situations like the xbox image or sky shots. And sports. Just out of curiosity where are the newest 2020 samsung and LG OLEDs being made. Can you guys check your TV boxes to see where was it made or where was it imported from. I wonder if it's a made in india issue with sony only Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk

There is no doubt about it i feel the same. Some of the lesser known youtubers suffer from display issues on all sort of brand not just sony. But these big names companies know will represent their product so even if they say box sponsored them or whatever. The reality is they are given the best version of that product. Sony advertises HDTVTest recommended for x90h on it's product page. And if you see hdtv test review 12.30-12.44m mark on his x90h video the gray uniformity is excellent not at all like mine. Same goes for the 8.1 gray uniformity score on rtongs whose picture makes you believe that sony did make all the sets with such quality . Another issue here is sony tvs at least all x90h as of now are made in india because of covid19. I feel like they lack the quality control standards and transportation standards like foreign companies. I'm gonna check the thurmacoal boxes layout the support the packed TV during factory to user home transportation. It seems like where the thurmacoal has some patturn sticking out to hold the TV in grip but i guess during transportation that causes pressure on these sensitive panels and causes some form of DSE. On other areas of the screen such libes don't exist to such drastic extent like the ones shown in my xbox one pic. So that makes me believe it might be because of how thurmacoal is placed to protect the TV. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk
