Y0 hit the peak with everything After having such a strong introduction to the series..it feels sad sometimes that none of the games I'm yet to play in the series will reach that height again.

Finished it. It was a mixed bag. Kept going back and forth between quite good and very boring. Had a good start with Akiyama then his story went Ubilol route, game picked up again with Saejima and then again took a nosedive with Tanimura. And everyone is a gangsta till Kiryu shows up!! Game ended on a high note with his story arc. First, the things I dint like - I know a Yakuza game's story can't be taken seriously but there were quite a few moments where it was like - Then the sub-stories were disappointing. In the earlier games, quite a few substories brought a smile to my face when they ended, but not a single memorable one here. Combine this with map, which is a chore to use and it gets quite frustrating, especially with Saejima. First, its difficult to pin point where you need to go and then if Police sees you, a chase sequence starts and you can end up anywhere in the map and have to backtrack. Add random encounters to this and a 5-10 mins sub-story is stretched to half an hour. Really liked the new characters - Akiyama and Saejima and the story arcs of Saejima and Kiryu. There were many great moments and links to past game's plots. Majima's guest appearance was cool and Kiryu is badass as usual. Overall, would still rate it much higher than Y3.

Awesome. Going to miss this franchise if Half Life:Alyx comes to PSVR2.

And the excitement fizzled out quickly as Akiyama's story chapters are so generic and boring. Was feeling sleepy playing it and was about to stop playing for good when Saejima's story started. Finding his story much better, having many cool moments. He is another awesome character introduced by this game. All the side stories are meh so far and that third Taanpura character isnt that great so far. So overall found both Y3 and Y4 disappointing.

Congrats @Sach4life Wish you a happy married life.

Lol..ya, by the time I end a Yakuza game, I start using the word "Nani" a lot more in day to day life. Happens every time This.

Started playing Yakuza 4 & it always feels good to be back to Kamurocho after a while. The familiar streets, landmarks, bars and restaurants. Started "the completion list" - collecting keys, eating at restaurants, talking to people etc etc. one more time and loving it all over again. Have played the first three chapters so far. Akiyama is instantly likeable. Substories just started to pop-up on the map and now waiting for the big guy to show up.

How much can you discuss a logo But when did that stop IVGians?

What games are you currently playing?

Yea, I usually touch 40-50% completion by the time I am done with a Yakuza game...but with this, it was hardly 15-20%. -

Have played from 0-3 so far and I found Y3 to be the weakest by a long margin. It hasnt aged very well, found the map to be frustrating to use, character models look weird and the animations are very stiff. But the main story had some great moments and as always the last few chapters were a roller-coaster. Haruka got some good screen time and many people liked the orphanage section(I didn't)...I really liked the location of the orphanage though. And out of dozens of side stories...there is a high chance you are going to like a few. I made a big mistake by starting Y3 immediately after finishing Y2:Kiwami. Y3 felt a lot more outdated because of this. Assuming you are playing it using GP...I would say its not that bad that you would skip it even for free. Guess I will also start Y4. Havnt played a Yakuza game in almost an year...feeling the itch to go back to Kamurocho. -
Even though I was finding the game frustrating, went back to it as strangely I already started missing it and finished nightmare of mensis and reached upper cathedral ward area. The gameplay is so satisfying, even though I am not that good at it. And saying the same thing everyone must have heard a thousand times already - the atmosphere and the levels are just mind blowing. No matter how many times I die to a boss, I keep coming back so as to find out what next area will bring with it. This is the best PS4 game I've played!!

Not everyone. When nominated in the game awards last year for most anticipated game category, they mentioned it as God of War sequel.

It was good. Facial animations are among the best I've seen in a game and it had decent story and characters. Have replayed few chapters not because of some trophy but because I genuinely dint want a character to die.
