This game will achieve greatness
God damn!!

But is this something too good to be true? This is truly next gen if the end product isnt massively downgraded(or if its released at all)

Also, she will 'react' to your choices throughout the game. Best menu screen implementation, period.
+1. Helps selling the sci-fi theme of the game too.

Started this in the weekend and holy s*it that menu screen lady!!
Talk about making a first impression. Never liked this genre of games much (press a button to acknowledge you are still awake). Have only played Heavy rains and TWD:S1 and found both of them just good enough to see it through till the end. Until Dawn was the only one I liked, but mainly because of the horror theme. However, unlike Until Dawn the characters here dont feel plastic-y. Absolutely amazing work done on character models and the facial expressions
Great graphics making all the difference here. Dialogue delivery feels so much better than any other such game because of this. Being a father of a toddler, "Stormy Night" chapter was hard to watch. If only the game had given that option, wanted to beat the sh*t out of that guy. Enjoying the story and the characters so far. Hoping that its not dragged a lot by the time the credits roll.

Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower aka Gehrman's student(on whom the doll is based) is easily my favorite Hunter boss in the entire game. Her triple forms and that god choir OST, getting my a*s kicked by her was a joy
All these hunter enemies in the game I found much harder than even the non-human bosses.

absolutely, FRC(triple debuffs) variant dungeons are amazing and involves a good amount of strategizing to complete.
if you haven't picked up the DLC, you can add that to the list too. Every single boss in the DLC is well done.
Have seen a YT video of DLC gameplay and thought its not for me, but never thought of playing the main game too...so might pick up the GOTY edition in next sale

Game received in excellent condition.
@Felix the cat The packaging dude!! Dont think even many of the sellers here put this much effort in it. Burnt quite a few calories trying to open it

There are some unique bosses, and killing the final boss of chalice dungeons is needed for platinum, plus some of these creatures have lore tidbits, like the Pthumerian bosses you may find.
Certain chalice dungeons also have unique areas.
lol, another 2 months gone then

You'll find him in much later levels of chalice dungeons
Is it worth it to keep going deeper? This the only aspect of the game that is repetitive.

I am planning to watch Vatividya's videos too to understand the lore more. Most probably that will make me wanna go and finish the game or play it again
Many times have cut short my gaming session in frustration only to be pulled back again next day because the world is so awesome and mysterious. One of the best games ever made indeed!!

For almost two months now, this game has consumed all my free time and then some. When I am not playing it, I am either watching YT videos to see how others did in a section/against a boss or thinking about what strategy to use next time I am going to play and face a boss or just flipping through the pages of its artbook.
Done with optional areas like Cainhurst castle and nightmare frontier and Pthumeru chalice dungeon upto depth 3. For the main quest, have played till the one reborn boss fight. And now it feels like I have my fill of this world. Don't know how much of the game is left and not sure if I am going to finish this game or not but this is already among the best games I've ever played. Every boss was memorable. Every area, likewise, was so unique and memorable with completely different enemies. Never seen such interconnected levels in any game I've ever played.SpoilerMind was blown when I took a stair from Forbidden forest and reached Central Yharnam.

Few highlights of the game for me:
1. Most satisfying win: Father Gascoigne. Gave up on the game earlier because of this a**hole and dint pick it up again for years.
2. Fight that made me feel like a bada*s: Shadow of Yharnam. Was able to take care of all three of them together, dodging their attacks, striking whenever I get a chance and was in full control. Felt awesome!!
3. Fight that felt most unfair: Darkbeast Paarl. A**hole is so big and so fast that managing the camera became a fight in itself. If I lock-on, then the attacks were not directed towards its feet. Most irritating fight.
4. Fight where I felt like an idiot: Martyr Logarius.
SpoilerWas getting killed again and again by the flying swords. Never realised, till I watched a YT video that I can attack the sword inserted in the ground to stop them falling from the sky.

5. Favorite area: Forest of serpents
6. Enemy I hated the most: Brainsucker

Thats why you should enjoy it to the fullest. Games like these are rare...this is not some ubilol yearly cookie cutter game.
After the first few hours, nerves should calm down I guess...should get more manageable after that. So, start from the beginning and turn that music on

Dont do it man. This game dsnt depend on cheap jump scares. The atmosphere is amazing and music plays a big part in that.

@Felix the cat I would like to borrow it please.

Wow, looks like a very different game than I am playing...so many blood vials you have.
What level are you on?

Solid VR mode. Sony's decision of not allowing PS5 version of the game to work with VR is baffling. Could have made the experience so much better.

Anyways, will get it just for the Dubai level alone.
