Finally was able to beat Father Gasoline today
Was able to constantly take him to his final phase for a while but finding it difficult to dodge his attacks there.
Can finally leave Yharnam now. Apart from seeing few bosses appearing in misc countdowns...I am more or less still on media blackout for the game, so cant wait to see what lies beyond that gate.

TLOU2 is the only game released in 2020 that I've played. So, vote goes to it.
OT: Not considering the release year, Nier:Automata is the best game I've played in 2020.

Watched this video on Bloodborne from Playstation Access -
....and thats one to many videos/posts of people I've seen, telling how it was there first From Soft game, how it didnt click at first but later became one of the best games they have played. So thought of giving myself one more shot and started it again yesterday. Done with Cleric Beast and reduced Father Guacamole to ~10% of its health in my first try. 1-2 more hits would have been enough to kill him but then tried music box and it had no effect on him for some reason. Maybe it dsnt work on his 2nd phase? He landed few hits in this confusion, nerves kicked in then and pressed dodge button when I actually wanted to inject a blood vial. Made half a dozen attempts after that but reached nowhere near half of his health bar. It has become an ego thing now and will continue to play this game at-least till I beat this SoB.

Been a long time for a show like this. Looking forward to it. Hoping GoW:R shows up.

I'm trying to do something similar but stuck on RDR2 and Genshin Impact for ages lol.
Whatever keeps you interested man. I've stopped trying to keep up with the latest games...its not possible at all. And now as there is no hurry to jump onto the next best thing, I am enjoying my games more and also able to stick to a game till its done. Was leaving lots of games midway earlier. Also saving a lot as an additional bonus.

DmC the one with emo Dante? Its a nice action game, very fun. Just that they should haveade it a separate action game instead of calling it Devil may cry and sh*ting on fans.
Ya. I dont mind this version of Dante as not a long time fan of the series but saw few reviews and the game looks rough now. Pass.

Nope. No issues at all. Just add the account and I think your ps4 will be primary automatically. You can play the game on your main us account too.
Awesome, thanks!!

Never played a Persona game.... price seemed decent enough
I've also bought this and it will be the first game in the series for me too
One question guys, I can have accounts for multiple regions on the same PS4, right? Was really looking forward to play Evil Within 2 and seeing it going for Rs 750. I have a US account on my PS4. So, all I need to do is add another account for Indian PSN and thats it? Any primary/secondary accounts issue I need to take care of?

Finished it. Felt the game to be dragging a bit around chapter 13-14 but picked up pace again and boss fights towards the end were amazing. As I have played just one prior game in the series, most of the story and references went over my head. And I couldn't get the essence of the combat/ranking system either. Was really focusing and putting effort on combos initially and was getting S ranks most of the times. Things were still good with V, but when Dante arrived with his own move set, which kept on expanding with new weapons, started getting B ranks at the best and had no clue why. Lost interest and just button mashed my way through from there. Still enjoyed my time with the game though. Can't imagine what kind of skills those people have who get S rank at highest difficulty as the boss fights towards the end were tough.

Almost towards the end and still getting amazed at how good this game looks. There was a fight in a library and after the fight there were insane broken wooden pieces left behind. RE engine is a beast.

Started playing this recently and having a great time so far. DMC4 was among the first games I had played, after building an 'expensive' gaming PC back in 2007. Early in that game was a waterfall and it was among the most impressive things I had seen in a video game till then. So, no wonder this game looks bonkers!! Great use of lighting and the character models are so good.
Taking my time finding all the secret missions, hidden paths/chambers etc in a level. And then there is the combat...so fluid and so much fun. Playing a hack n slash game after a long time so enjoying it even more. Havnt played this series much so dont have much clarity on how the ranking system works though. Sometimes I am raining combos and the game keeps shouting "Dismal" at me
and at other times getting S/SS ranks even though I dint do that good. Will have to check some guide regarding this.
Even though everything is so over the top, the story is still decent. Good old 8-10 hrs long single player campaign. First RE7, then this and yet to play RE2...Capcom has been amazing this gen.
Hope with most of the devs moving towards bloated/boring open world games these days, Capcom continue to deliver such games next/current gen too.
-ives:
- With the old school linear level design, came back the invisible walls.
- Dint like the character swaps. Not particularly in this game but any game that does this. You are invested in the story and getting familiar / good with Nero's move set and then the game makes you play as that Baani's look-a-like.

Continuing on my PSVR backlog. Finished:
Moss: Vibrant, colourful and charming. Quill's animations were adorable. Loved it. Cant wait for book 2.
UD: Rush of Blood - Found it scarier than RE7, because of its reliance on jump scares. Move controllers work quite good and responsive. Sitting in a roller coaster and shooting all kinds of creatures was fun. The on rails, roller coaster movement made me feel nauseous though within 20-30 mins. The section with these was amazing -

Game unlocked!!
Finally, feels good to be playing a Yakuza game again. Till what I've played, the game is really fun. Ichiban is no Kiryu, and the game really reflects that (For one - forget fear (Like Kiryu) no one respects poor Ichiban at all), but I like him. He's a fun, silly and goofy guy (Unlike Stone-like Kiryu or absolute mad-man Majima). You also get choices in how you respond (all fully voice acted, which is great in Japanese - since that's what I played in), and that affects both how you play Ichiban, and how he develops throughout the course of the game.
I've only played the beginning till now, so can only speak for the beginning combat. The combat is actually fun. It's not fully turn based, but rather a turn based and action hybrid (In a different way than FF7 Remake). For example, while you might select attack, attack name etc. from a menu - you still need to do stuff like parry, perfect dodge etc. on a real-time basis, as and when the enemy is attacking. Even with attack, if you're using a skill/combo - you need to enter the combo in real-time like an action game. It's only mainly items, normal attack etc. that's used on "turn-based" terms. Frankly, the change is fun, and something sorely needed. I was so used to previous Yakuza combat, that my finger was automatically pressing the square (Weak Attack in all previous Yakuza games) key in the first encounter, before I realized that it was doing nothing and I had to select Persona style by pressing X.
Rest everything feels like Yakuza. Chases are back. New City feels great. The PS4 version port is also absolutely great. It's very smooth and till where I've played, I've encountered little to no loading except a very small pause in 1-2 transition to cutscenes. Frankly, if all games are going to have port of this quality on PS4, then next gen can easily wait. We won't miss much at all.
Overall, a great Yakuza game and had an absolute blast playing it!!
Thanks for the details. Will wait for your full review once you are done with it. Battles gets really repetitive 20-30 hours in, in the old Yakuza games. Let us know how the rpg system is in that regard.
Future looks bright though for the series. Not sure why the fans made such a big deal of this going turn based. I've played 5 games so far and I already feel burned out.

Done with the game. What a ride it has been...among the most memorable gaming experiences I ever had.
The atmosphere and art direction was exceptional and because of that tha game was filled with memorable moments even though there were no big set pieces. I was seeing that house in my sleep. The relief you get once you enter a safe room.....
All but last bosses were great.
Then I really loved the metroidvania aspects of the game. Been a long time since I played a good game in this subgenre. Exploration was rewarding and puzzles were fun.
-ives(mostly VR specific):
* Its really dark at times and gets very weird near light sources or entering/leaving a room.
* The cursor at times just goes through the objects/enemies making it harder to shoot and gets frustrating in tense situations.
* More enemy variety would have been nice.-

Noice, I remember playing RE7 and thinking it would be an even better experience in VR.
Ya. It had been one of the most mmorable gaming experiences ever. That dark, slimy basement..I see it whenever I close my eyes

Usually I play in the afternoon and whenever I take that headset off, its hard to explain the feeling of the transition from that dark, damp and scary baker house to a comfy, bright and sunny day outside.
