Reached chapter 13th and liking the game so far, went in with low expectations anyways.
Chapter 3-4 were so nostalgic, chapter 7,8,9 is where it started to get boring but picked up from chapter 10 onwards. I am still maintaining media black out on this, not even watched the trailers, so my jaw dropped when I reached Madagascar. Scotland missions were boring, but every mission so far visually is simply god-tier
Puzzles are fun too.

Play Yakuza 6 without Kiwami, you will not know anyone except Kiryu and Majima. Play it after playing Kiwami, you will know many important characters (although they will be older). And you will have some care for them.
So, I'll be able to follow the story if I jump straight to 6 from 0 and Kiwami, without playing 2,3,4,5?

I take my words back. This game is one of its kind, nothing like this I've played in a while. There is no doubt the camera angle are horrible(at some points), & trico not listening results in frustration(sometimes) & puzzle after puzzle style of progression felt like a drag, but still everyone should give this game a chance, as it was 75% off in the holiday season. Game demands patience and I enjoyed it much more while playing during holidays.
Forgot to mention that button mashing mini game when anyone catches you is very irritating.

Now feeling burnt out with the game. Camera is so frustrating and Trico is like two edged sword, good AI, but dosnt always listen. Got stuck few times because he was not doing what I command and because of that I thought this is not the correct way and wasted time.
SpoilerSpecially those puzzles in those ponds were so frustrating.
Was playing this after office and the game offering puzzle after puzzle with horrible camera and trico not listening makes the game so tiring. Stopped it for now and started playing Unravel.

One quick question, I read somewhere that there was a recent patch for Pro, but when I am inserting the disc, which I got last year, I'm getting the message that its up to date. Not able to figure out from where to download that Pro patch.

One thing to keep in mind, unlike the older games, MK8D comes fully unloacked out of the gate except for vehicle parts. If you're into this kinda stuff, that might be a deal breaker.

Also definitely give online a chance before Nintendo goes the paid way ....All in all for me, it was more fun than BOTW.
Thanks guys!!

^^Dude, you are on a roll!!

^^Thanks man. Yea, I meant against the AI. There was a deal, so was thinking about buying it.(bought it actually) Read there are 48 tracks, so it should take sometime before the game gets stale.

Played for few hours today and the experience is amazing so far. They have done a great job with Trico, so far havent faced any issue with him. In fact its a treat to watch him
Going to take my time with this game, I dont think there will be another one like this.

Yea, the troubled development is clearly noticeable. And I dint like that Assiassin Creed like stealth that they have copied. The best part of the game they had shown at E3, may be because there was nothing else worth showing.
