Game Name: Shin Megami Tensei Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers 2 Platforms: PC Steam, Playstation4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series (Both S and X) (No Switch release) Release Date: 26th August, 2022 (Worldwide English Versions) 25th August, 2022 (In Japan) Premise (From Wikipedia and IGN): Soul Hackers 2 takes place in the 21st Century and is set during a war between the Yagaratsu and the Phantom Society, two opposing factions of Devil Summoners. The story follows two supernatural "Aion" beings named Ringo and Figue, who descend into the human world from their birthplace in the data stream of information, in order to avert a cataclysmic event that they predict will doom humanity. Soul Hackers 2, a sequel to 1997's Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers and a new game in the Megami Tensei series, is launching on August 26 this year. Trailer: Some Official Tweets: This was a surprise. Didn't ex[ect this announcement. Really surprising that there is no Switch version announced considering that the original SEGA Saturn Soul Hackers 1 had a remake that was exclusive to the Nintendo DS in 2013. This game series (and all other MT/SMT Spin-offs excluding Persona) has never had any release on any Non-Nintendo Platforms, and now seeing Nintendo being excluded is strange. Anyway what do you guys think? Anyone hyped?
