Not really. Ive had almost the same amount of lag while playing VT3 as well. I just gave up on all hopes of playing a decent lagfree online match in VT.

The online component of VT09 is garbage. In a normal player match, even a little bit of lag can cause the ball to freeze in the air, which was not the case in VT3. Also, you can't play ranked with licensed players such as Federer or Nadal. The character creation mode pretty much sucks monkey balls as the default face remains the same for created players except for maybe a few features such as hairdo or size of the nose maybe. Then, there's no VT.TV and you just can't join a live game and spectate the match. Also, it is almost impossible to force an opponent into making an error. The fact that you have to unlock most of the courts is challenging for sure, but may or may not be liked by everyone, very debatable.

The aforementioned gripes are just some of the more obvious ones. The list is pretty long, if you ask me.

Hence for me atleast, VT3 >> VT09 anyday.

I've faced ball freezing lag(as odd as it sounds) in VT3 as well. A couple of matches that i played in VT09 were as bad, whereas some were pretty ok.

I'm not going to say that the ball freeze issue does not plague VT3, but it happens very rarely and on the other hand, VT09 is nothing short of an interactive nightmare when it comes to playing with overseas players from Europe or the Americas.

Either way, add me so that we can get some VT love, be it 2009 or VT3.
