Shatter. Scheduled to arrive this year, Shatter is a brick-breaking game inspired by classics like Breakout and Arkanoid.

"We were inspired by classics in the genre, but were very aware of the limitations that most examples don't overcome, which means they don't reach the full potential possible," said Mario Wynands, Managing Director of Sidhe. "We stripped brick-breaking back to the base elements, and rebuilt it from the ground up. The result is a much more connected and visceral experience."

Shatter will incorporate modern, physics-based effects, boss battles, and a 3D visual style. Standard, Boss Rush, and Bonus game modes will be available, as well as trophy support and leaderboards.

Innovative controls, physics effects, power-ups, special attacks, and boss battles which combine to provide an experience that is always interactive

Standard, Boss Rush and Bonus game modes enhanced with leaderboards and trophies

Vibrant 3D style presented across 10 distinct worlds in 4xAA 60fps HD

A fully scored soundtrack featuring more than 90 minutes of original music

Funky!

Wish this was on PSP =(

it almost certain to hit the psp, maybe as a part of the go apps or something. here's what mario (from sidhe) had to say on the matte

Depending on how the game does on PSN, we may bring across to PSP. We are working on some stuff right now that would make that a more viable proposition.

Been playing the game like crazy for the last couple of days, stopped playing AA once I started playing this.

Love how they have taken the classic gameplay and added a bunch of awesome new stuff to it. It still retains the old school feel without feeling dated , its like litsening to the remix songs that plagued the indipop scene a few years ago, only here the remix take the original to a completely different level.

The presentation is incredible too, it feels like something that would come out of tetsuya miziguchi head. disappointed that none of you guys are playing it despite the sharing teams, it barely costs a 2$ each.
