Win a Mass Effect themed Xbox 360 from BioWare

BioWare, being the giving developers that they are, have decided to celebrate the release of Mass Effect's Bring Down the Sky DLC with a little Xbox 360 hardware giveaway. Some custom Mass Effect 360 Elite hardware at that. All you have to do to win one of these six super sleek and sexy Mass Effect themed Xbox 360s is to hop on over to BioWare's community site, log in and register for the giveaway. But know that their little Elite giveaway only lasts through April 22nd, so be sure to register by then and be sure to keep those fingers crossed. Mass Effect themed Xbox 360 Elite bounty is but a random drawing away

Finished off Virmire last night. Wrex lives (maxed charm skill for the win!) and so does Ashley. Gotta hate Bioware for forcing me to choose between her and Kaidan.

The twist with the reapers was a bit predictable given the fact that the EGM mega-preview (from their 2006 issue) more or less crapped it out but it was still well done.

Onward to Ilos! This game seems shorter than it should be and a tad Matrix-y which isn't such a bad thing.

Awesome!

The Virmire missions was prolly the best among them because of the tough decisions u get to take...i really loved it! Thank god Wrex isnt dead! Although hes not the strongest...i still prefer him over the other team mates....btw u chose to ashley because of the romantic subplot didnt u?

:P

Thanks. I didn't try to hunt for Liara as I thought that I might get my a*s kicked due to my low levels. Anyway, I am at Level 13 now, so I might as well try searching for her. BTW, the controlling the MAKO is a bitch with multiple enemies around.

Hehe, The mission in which u get to rescue liara isnt all that difficult really. Even i had problems controlling the Mako at first but its pretty easy later on...but i started engaging the enemy on foot after I was on level 15+.

Well that was one reason. Didn't want all the brownie points to go to waste :P . Also, i did play that segment of the mission again and have a save where Kaidan is saved as well. Figured it might come in handy since this trilogy will accept saves from the first gamel.

Also, Wrex is totally bad a*s. Has the best lines in the game and is a frickin' tank.

Hehe, Cool! Totally agree that Wrex is THE badass of the game...my fav line of his - 'Dont piss near my ears and tell me its raining' :rofl2: :rofl2:

BioWare: Mass Effect 2 360 exclusive - "for at least a short period of time", developer tells CVG

Despite its comfortable new digs at Electronic Arts, it looks like BioWare plans to keep its Mass Effect trilogy exclusive to Xbox 360 - for at least the time being.

"I believe we'll be Xbox 360 exclusive for at least a short period of time," BioWare senior manager Matt Atwood revealed to CVG on the subject of the sequel's release plans.

"We're still working out the details on that, but we've had a great relationship with Microsoft and done very well."

It had been speculated that following the Electronic Arts buyout, the Microsoft-published RPG would take a multi-platform route with its two announced sequels.

Atwood's words seem to be the first indication that Microsoft isn't yet willing to let its front-running action-RPG drift to the competition (if, indeed, it has handed over cash for the sequel).

And after the exclusivity deal ends on 360, it looks like it's (expectedly) onward to PC for Mass Effect 2: "I think you'll see a PC version not too far away," said Atwood, confirming that the sequel will also be making its way to mouse and keyboard users.

"We haven't solidified the plans yet but we're headed in the direction where we want to be as close as possible [on PC]," he said.

So far we don't know much about the second Mass Effect, though BioWare boss Greg Zeschuk shared a few words with MTV:

"We look at Mass Effect 2 as incredibly exciting," he said. "Just the amount of effort and knowledge and know-how that went into building the technology for the first one is huge, and [we now have] the chance to actually make things a little bit richer."

After having cleared the 'Bring Down the Sky' DLC this week, we're gagging for more

:scratchchin: and :scratchchin: for Mass Effect 2!!!

After the success that ME has achieved so far, I wouldnt be surprised if ME2 creates records for a W-RPG. It may even snap at the heels of some renowned J-RPGs in terms of sales success. And I do hope they port it over to the PS3 just so that hardcore PSf**s can also experience some of this gaming soul food.
