Cyborg
Those pics are looking very interesting. Definitely, this one's gonna be one to watch out for. Eidos seems determined to reboot and continue their most prized franchises into this generation. First Deus Ex, then Thief and now Tomb Raider. The game looks to have some horror elements for sure, those things does not look like beasts to me neither are they human, some creepy monsters for sure. And Lara is riding a Horse with a bow. She's become a hunter or what? Friggin awesome, and she's lost a lot of weight due to being stuck inside this jungle and having to feed on plants. She's looking hot though, I would definitely like to save her from this mess when the game releases.
Aftrunner
At least they are trying something. With all this horror, survival and combat talk I just hope they dont forget its a platformer at heart. As long as they remember that, I am sure this will turn out fine. In fact it might turn out great. Cant wait.
TAG
Tomb Raider franchise is definitely picking up. The last couple of games were a pretty decent efforts. Like Afty said, they should retain the platformer aspect of the series. A platformer/horror game would be very interesting. I will have to overcome my fear if this turns out well! Aftrunner
Thinking about it, has any game ever mixed platforming with the horror genre? Cant think of any. There have been FPS horror games (FEAR), TPS horror games (RE, DS) but no platforming horror games. If that is what they are going for, it sounds like a cool idea. Sounds like a platformer to me. And yea, as they claim its a reboot, its definitely going to be a platformer with a few new tricks thrown in. Hope they don't mess up. @Afty - I can't think of any either, so yes if they are planning it that way, quite a bit of innovation involved in the idea, I must say. HundredProofSam
Thinking about it, has any game ever mixed platforming with the horror genre? Cant think of any. I guess that's because horror games make movement deliberately sluggish, and that doesn't work in platformers. The only platformer to attempt horror/survival was Uncharted and it did away with platforming in those sections. peace
