Shantz
xvid works on the PS3 too as i said whatever i have tried recently has worked... but at the same time i haven't really watched many movies recently... neither have i ever checked the format hmm, well most of the xvid files that i try to play error out saying "corrupted data" but they play fine on my PC and they also show up as xvid in fourcc etc..that said, it could be my media server as well, as i stream all my movies to ps3 over wireless from my router instead of playing from USB/disk. vibs
I've 32 LAR8 series Samsung LCD and it works really great. If you going for 32" then don't go for full hd as its a known fact that you will not be able to tell the difference, for full hd u can go for atleast 42".
