When I called Salim asking if he could repair the YLOD he told me as well that an IC will need to be replaced. I wasn't convinced so I didn't go to him. Here's the exact description of YLOD In a few days I'm going to attempt to fix my YLOD. Already ordered the thermal compound. Now I have to go and buy a heat gun and I'm set. peace Hmmm........ The guy doing it in the video is doing it for the second time and he said this fix only lasts for a few months.
