For that you could have got the killzone bundle here, with an additional 3 - 5 games.. Can't find one. Got the thermal compound from theitdepot.com (Cooler Master brand) And DO NOT attempt it with a hair dryer. They only go up to 100-200 degrees F. You need minimum 400 degrees for this procedure. peace well i just saw ur post... took the ps3 apart, simple enough out it back together, simple enough.... used a hairdryer though so no effect @ all.... it seems i too have the ylod... @ least my dad n sis can see the light go yellow, i can't , proves yet again i am colour blind i thought u already got ur hands on the heat gun.... was gonna ask if i can borrow it... for round 2 i also got some heat sync paste.... cheap stuff was in a hurry... ps3 was already in pieces also picked up the torx kit to open the very first screw Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It's a china made heat gun......... but it's adjustible there are two levels of temperatures........... Level I - 350 degrees Level II - arnd 600 degrees (don't remember exactly) @ Sam: That is the same video that i had reffered to............ and if u r goin to follow that, let me tell u tht there are some parts of his console tht are different 4m the 40 gig PAL versions................ so be careful......... @ Dabba: NEVER use a cheap thermal paste........ i had used the cheap one and my ps3 got the YLoD in a few days again............. and again i fixed it, and again i got the YLoD again and then i fixed it for the 3rd tym and i got the YLoD again........ Haven't fixed it after tht.......... Waiting to get the proper branded thermal paste............ If any of u guys find a branded one then plz let me know...............
