Noctis
If you guys liked Studios 4c's episode then wait for production I.G. I think this will popularize Anime among western audience more than Halo among the Japanese.
Aftrunner
So I finally saw it. I thought it was pretty bad TBH. The whole story and writing felt like it was a fanfic project of some 14 year old. And all of the voice actors were very average (except for Dutch who I think was still played by Adam Baldwin). Even the music was recycled from the first game. But more than anything else it was the whiny little pretty boy bullshit that killed it for me. Im guessing that you are new to anime. In that case most of the anime series has a " whiny little pretty boy ". This anime is not meant to be exactly like the game. It'll have those wierd fantasy bits, which japs are very fond of . :/

Waht are u saying?? OFcourse i like this halo anime, the first episode was good .However Im not fond of all anime, I like Dragon Ball Z and Fullmetal Alchemist a lot, watched all the episodes . I also watched all the episodes of this other anime called the "Seven Samurai" which is based on the 1937 hit movie "Sichin Nu Samurai" something like that. i tried watching BLEACH and Gundam, did not like it. This anime is not meant to be exactly like the game. It'll have those wierd fantasy bits, which japs are very fond of . :/ I am sorry but just because its Anime doesn't excuse the downright horrible writing ("Go on without me, I am not gonna make it." Really? Never heard that one before) or the cliché characters or the (quite frankly) awful voice overs. I am not even gonna bring up the whole pretty girl spartan with long flowing hair (which I am sure is very useful inside a goddamn helmet) or the Forerunner ruins which looked like Japanese temples (complete with what looked like Buddha in one carving) because it would feel like kicking a sick puppy. I mean I thought the whole point of the Halo movie getting canceled was because MS wanted more control over the whole thing but if this is what they produce when they have absolute control over it then I am glad the movie got binned cause it would have been a f**king embarrassment. Half of this short was cringe-worthy and I dont see how anyone can even defend that.
Tyler
Anime is always full of cliché and stereotypical characters. The only apt comparison would be a Bollywood flick.

That is a general misunderstanding caused by several popular anime meant for kids. None of the really good ones are like that.
The JACKAL
^^Im a fan of this series who knows every bit of the "actual story" (novels incl) releated to the games, and i liked that first episode and i like the way the series is expanding . Halo fans are going to like it, and anime fans are going to like it. THATS ALL THAT f**kING MATTERS . Rest all can go and eat c*ck.

Tyler
I dunno, I really haven't been much into Anime in the last few years. I was huge fan of mecha anime when I was a kid. I really haven't seen much of the more "mature" ones. Sorry about the earlier post.
Noctis
The DVD/Blu Ray is out. Currently rated at 6.2 at imdb which is not very bad. And overall "Babysitter" seems to be the least favorite among the 7 stories, which is good news as it means the rest are better than what we saw.
