Skywalker
Hi guys im looking for a rock solid AGP slot GPU since i dont wanna change my mobo. I have 3 ghz Prescott Processor, original Intel Mobo 865 glv 3 gigs of ram and 1 TB hdd partitioned running Vista ultim8. Currently i have ATI Radeon x800 Pro 256 mb card shipped directly at launch frn the States for 21k which was gr8 then in 2004 but is lacking in performance fer today's games. Which AGP slot GPU is reccomended & Where can i get hold of it ?? in bombay or i dont mind having it shipped either. Regards

spindoctor
have a look at this link - http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList....amp;x=0&y=0 at this point, you will not be able to get an agp card locally. probably have to get it imported by KMD or something. It's like buying Petrol worth 100 rupees per litre for a Maruti

Right
^I am getting 7600GS - 2800 Rs. My mobo is bit dicey too, so if that dies too, I will upgrade the whole rig. Spending 8K, doesn't make much sense when proc is surely going to be a bottleneck.
Skywalker
Argggghhh man im so p!ssed ...but thanx guys u made me see da LIGHT so to speak 8k is a load of money in these recessionary ages so to speak...it will go towards my savings fer a new rig. I spent a bomb to get my x800 pro 21k to be exact n tht to way back in '04-'05 so guess this topic is dried, dusted n DEAD.
Pushy
yep...save up and build a new rig no point in adding GFX card to ur current system as it will bottleneck the performance of the GFX card...
