Best UPS for PS3

Hi,

This is for all those who are wondering which UPS to buy for their PS3.

I was using Luminous 600VA UPS which could not even give back up to my Nokia charger :D alone, and they have the pathetic cx. service, if you call them the guy who picks up the phone seems like he is sleeping and mumbling some words :panic: and when the technician finally comes and sees that I've connected PS3 to it they say that the UPS can only give back-up to PC and not a bideo(video) game, not even a Nokia charger. So I started researching Microtek UPS.

Now they were even worst, first the place from where I bought it from had already opened the UPS and the seal was broken.

And it could not even cold start the ps3 which Luminous was, and by the way Microtek UPS was 800VA!!

So I tried to look on the internet and tried looking for a UPS which could give back-up to my PS3 but in vain. So, I finally took chance and bought an APC BACK UPS 500(VA) RS, and I was shocked to see that a 500VA ups was able to give back-up to my ps3 aswel as my 32" LCD!!!

So, all those who are looking to buy a UPS go for APC, and by the way APC mentions the Wattage that their UPS can handle which no other companies provide or even know about.

Sorry if the post seems so long but I had to share the story about my experience with other companies. :first:

^^good work.

mentioned the prices of each UPS you bought/tested along with it

have an APC 650VA myself. gives about 20 minutes on a PS3+19" LCD.

Thanks :D I thought about sharing my experience so that so someone else don't have to suffer experimenting with UPS :panic:

Luminous 600 VA forgot, Microtek 800VA -Rs. 2800, APC 500VA - Rs. 1900

well to b honest when I first bought the APC UPS it gave me back-up of 7 minutes which is good if you are planning to just shutdown the system. otherwise I've been using it with my LCD and gives me back-up of around 2 minutes just to shut evrything down properly

most of the people would still buy a Microtek because of price to power ratio being lower. thats fine imo, but not for running sensitive/expensive equipments.

he where are u from?? ur name suggests that u r from japan or china
