THE DEMO IS JUST PLAIN AWESOME. ONE OF THE BEST AVAILABLE IN THE MARKETPLACE RIGHT NOW!

PS - I wonder what achievements it has. :)

PS3 version of Stranglehold will be region free.

From Ars Technica:

Stranglehold will NOT be region-locked on the PS3

By Ben Kuchera | Published: August 09, 2007 - 01:36PM CT

The Stranglehold demo looks and plays great, but if you're a PS3 gamer the news that the game would be region-locked might have been a bummer. Luckily, Midway either heard you loud and clear, or the moderator on the Midway forums got his facts straight, because there is news in that area.

Midway has decided to make both the standard version and the North American Collector's Edition (with Hard Boiled on Blu-ray) of Stranglehold region free. Please be clear that the Collector's Edition with the movie is only available in North America, so if you live elsewhere, you'll have to buy it as an import.

I guess the higher ups do listen to you guys on the forums!

So there you go. No region-locking, but the Blu-ray with Hard Boiled included will only be a North American deal. My European friends, get your imports ready. This is good news, and I hope we don't have yet another reversal in the coming weeks.

Of course, depending on how much credence you give the source, PS3 gamers may have something else to worry about now...

Yes, the game is all that they promised, which actually, isn't bloody much. As far as I am concerned, this feels like a high-definition, slightly more brutal version of Max Payne 2, without the awesome story and the dialogues that was the hallmark of such 3PSes. Not to mention that the game itself will be very, very, VERY short, but then, any longer than 6-7 hours and I'd probably get tired of the pointless, aimless stylish shooting that's there in the game. Seriously, what's the point of shootdodging and Tequila Time without a great plot and dialogues driving the gameplay forward? Yes, I will buy this game. Yes, this should be fun, for a couple of hours on SP and MP, but I think I'll just dump this a month after getting it, since there seems to be nothing to bring me back to this game for a really, really long time, thanks to the billion and one games that are releasing on the PC and the Xbox 360.
