Both Core and Pro output same graphics if u use the same cable , but for the core version you will have to buy HD-Component cable separately to display HD Resolution (720p/1080i/1080p). Worth waiting, i dont know , there's always something new coming up in technology so i guess "waiting" is not something you should consider, if you want to buy it, go buy it right now.
