KeezNah
Welp, I did a test yesterday and came up empty. While the video does indeed display on the monitor, everything is in green. Which means (I'm guessing) the Component to VGA cable I opted for was a dud. And I can't even get an exchange on this stupid thing. Sorry, Grif I'll try scoping out some more shops and keep you updated.

You are supposed to go to your Monitor Main Menu and in the Color Settings menu, change the "Input Color Format" from "RGB" to "YPbPr". RGB is the standard computer format, and "YPbPr" is the Component Display format. If you're monitor is capable of handling "YPbPr", then you're all set. Even mine shows it all green in the standard settings, but when I change the "Input Color Format" to "YPbPr - Component", it works ABSOLUTELY PERFECTLY You have to let the monitor know what the incoming color format is. It won't autodetect Edit: Here's a picture to help you out.... Sorry for the crap quality pic. It's the best I could take with my phone. Lemme know how it goes

Kazekage Gaara
holy sh*t, had no idea about that Thanks, Gaara! Will give it a try when I get back home~ You're welcome. By the way, which monitor do you have ? Also make sure Killroy's monitor supports the same. I think when he said he's got Dell, he's got the same one as mine, S2409 Not sure though. Also, hope you're all set up with the audio part for some sound
KeezNah
i have an old-a*s Samsung 17-inch CRT, so there's a slight probability YPbPr won't be supported. i want to splurge for a new monitor anyway, the CRT would be humongous for my new place, i suppose i haven't decided on my sound set-up. what should I use for just plain ol' headphones? Hmm....well, your monitor might not support YPbPr, but no harm in checking it out Try messing with the display settings. About the sound, you can use this... And use some RCA Female to Female converters to connect this to the the Wii component audio cables, but there is a MAJOR flaw in this. The volume will either be too low or too loud, and since there is no way to control the audio from either the Wii or the headphones, this set up won't be feasible. You can connect regular PC speakers though since they have the knob to control the volume What I have done is I had a couple of old Sony speakers that came with our Audio deck, but we don't use it anymore, so I have them connected to a regular amplifier, and my Wii component audio cables just connect to the amp, and the audio is managed by the amp. Same goes for my Xbox 360. Video via HDMI to Dell, and sound via composite cables to the amp It's a BLAST!!!
