I tried everything......It's a problem with fake controllers, Sony has found a way of making them inoperable. Guys only buy controllers from Sony showroom now onwards. Controller won't work, cannot downgrade the firmware either. Now I just sit on a bean-bag, connect a USB mouse, which allows me to play some DVDs and I act like Captain Kirk (it did cheer me up for a while). He gave me an awesome deal so if he is in a good mood and awfully generous then I may buy a cheap SixAxis. The problem seems to affect only the DS3s afaik. Somebody Posted November 29, 2009 Report Share Posted November 29, 2009 my ds3 controller is giving me trouble since today The ps3 doesn't detect the controller if it's not plugged via usb. But, if I connect via USB, it is charging and I'm able to use the controller as usual but it's a pain in the hand holding the controller forward coz of the stupid short USB cable that sony gives with the ps3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
