Or do I need to only buy "Asia, No Region Protection" games? Lemme know. I ask this because sometimes US titles are cheaper than Asia titles. Has anyone of you bought US region titles from the site and faced any issues related to it being a US game title? Even though the description on the shopping site should give you a fair idea, it needs to be investigated on a case by case basis. When in doubt, ask around here. What's the deal wid HDTV here? how does having an HDTV impact whether a game will run with PS3? its to do with PAL and NTSC.... and about regions: it doesnt matter...only thing is if ur psn acc is a UK account then with a US disc u wont b able to downld online content reltd to the game. What's the deal wid HDTV here? how does having an HDTV impact whether a game will run with PS3? nothin... it's just that, quite a few ppl had problems playing GTA4 on an SDTV because their disc region did not match their console's. I never heard of any other game having that problem anyway Either way, you wouldn't have a problem. The thing is , if you have a PAL ps3 and you try to play certain NTSC region games (or vice versa) they won't run on your SDtv , whereas same would work on HDtv on the other hand . Few titles like these are : gta4 farcry2 H.A.W.X and many more ..... i earlier used to play on sdtv and have a NTSC region ps3 and when i tried playing PAL region farcry2 or gta4 they weren't working but same now works with hdmi output on HDtv . Hence the HDtv matters . yup this is coz NTSC n PAL resolutions are different and on a SD telly (assuming it is a PAL telly) the NTSC ps3 will not play the PAL games... HD works fine coz it play the game @720p i have forgotten the exact resolutions for NTSC vs PAL but if u r still interested a lil google magic will help... ohhh n this has been answered somewhere before on the forum Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I plan to buy Far Cry 2, MGS4, COD4 and might be Assassin's Creed from play-asia.com (not all US titles, but mixed ones) The site also specifies the language of the title (in most cases) so that shouldnt be a prob. thanks again.
