pup11 Posted October 20, 2007 Report Share Posted October 20, 2007 Guys i bought a 360 2 months ago since then i have basically bought every damn game that's there in the Indian market, but with so less number of game titles i am starting to get bored and i want to play titles that are not in the Indian market. I just wanted to ask you guys whether PAL games from regions like Australia and Europe would work on my Indian PAL 360 console or not, please guys i would appreciate some help in this. The same consoles are also sold in Australia. So PAL games imported from Europe and Australia will work fine on Indian PAL consoles. But increasingly, many publishers are releasing games which are region-free, which means that games from NTSC countries will also work fine on Indian PAL consoles. The most recent case in point being Halo 3 and Orange Box. So you can import NTSC games from Play Asia or other sites too. Make sure to check the region free status first which can be found out on the game retailer's website or even on this forum in the respective game's thread. But mate one friend of mine too has a pal Indian 360 which btw is modded and he bought a few pirated pal games one of them being MOH Airborne which showed him a region code error, rest of the games were Halo 3 and Stranglehold which he says worked perfectly on his console. Now i am confused since both Halo 3 and Stranglehold are region free games they would obviously work on any 360, but since MOH Airborne is not a region free game it didn't work on his console, now it didn't work because it was a pirated game or does EA has region coded games for every specific country or something like that, so i wanted to know if i buy an original pal game from a different region (a game which is not region free) then would it work on my console. vinitwins Posted October 20, 2007 Report Share Posted October 20, 2007 orange box is developed by valve (the pc version is published by them via steam and also at retail) - their ideologies are well documented in the gaming world. orange box is region free. as for moh, how can you be 100% certain that the artwork with the pirated game is not a misprint? that's the risk (along with no warranty, xbl banning, etc that you undertake when you resort to modding your console). your fears are unfounded - moh airborne (PAL) will work on aus/eu/uk/indian 360s without any region error. MarketTantrik Posted October 21, 2007 Report Share Posted October 21, 2007 I believe Valve had a much larger say in the release policies than other developers that EA has worked with due to the fact that EA approached Valve for Orange Box and not the other way 'round.
