Harsahil Posted September 5, 2009 Report Share Posted September 5, 2009 well i had installed a new 160 gb Hard Drive about a year back for my PC. i also have an 80gb hard drive. the new 160gb had drive has been giving me problems lately like sometimes not getting detected as if it didnt exist. but when i rebooted my pc, it used to show up.. but today it isnt showing up even after reboot. i dont know what to do? pls help............... Xtrovert Posted September 5, 2009 Report Share Posted September 5, 2009 As he said ^^ is the HDD SATA or IDE 1st check whether its showin up in BIOS i:e is it getting detected in BIOS If its IDE u will have to do the Jumper setting Please check whether the HDD is gettin appropriate power , the molex or sata Power connector attached to the HDD should come directly from the power supply without any other Hardware component attached to tht wire nt even in between Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
