m-JeRi
Hi All.. I Have a 2 or 3 week old WD MyBook 1 TB. Using a Windows 7 PC. I bought it and connected it on Windows XP. It was working fine. I changed to Windows 7 about 1 week back. At first no issues at all. Then 2 or 3 days later the USB device was not showing up in the My Computer. When i reconnected it it shows "USB Device Not Recognized" baloon pop-up in the task bar. Then i remembered, I forgot to install the Win 7 chipset drivers for my Intel DP35DP mobo. installed it and the device was detected. And now its not detecting again. what is the pblm? Jerin Though i don't have much knowledge about windows 7 you can try the following, go to device manager and uninstall usb and reinstall again and then update it. It might work. MarketTantrik
Its possible that the chipset on the HDD isn't coping well with the power demands of the drive.
m-JeRi
^^^ ??... Its a WD Mybook 1 TB. The chipset on the HDD and the power demands of the HDD has to match r8?? WD made them both..... Its not the internal HDD on a third party ext case. Its the MyBook.
