Hi All..

I Have a 2 or 3 week old WD MyBook 1 TB. Using a Windows 7 PC.

I bought it and connected it on Windows XP. It was working fine.

I changed to Windows 7 about 1 week back. At first no issues at all.

Then 2 or 3 days later the USB device was not showing up in the My Computer.

When i reconnected it it shows "USB Device Not Recognized" baloon pop-up in the task bar. Then i remembered, I forgot to install the Win 7 chipset drivers for my Intel DP35DP mobo. installed it and the device was detected.

And now its not detecting again.

what is the pblm?

Though i don't have much knowledge about windows 7 you can try the following,

go to device manager and uninstall usb and reinstall again and then update it. It might work.
