Chaztin Posted October 21, 2007 Report Share Posted October 21, 2007 This problem started yesterday, whenever i put any game disc into my console, it shows that " You need to put this disc in to an xbox 360 consol " !! The disc tray tries to read the disc it accelarates a bit then it stops and displays this problem! and shows " Attempting to read media " again and again !!! whats the problem? It first time yesterday night with Halo 3, didnt try any other disc then and the thing was resolved with a restart...but in the morning, its showing same error for even GoW and other games! for question 2 u mean some movie dvd or smthing? @last avenger, no idea man, just want to Idea over it if sm1 around here has faced same prob! Thk God its under warranty...yet 2 months left! btw what wld be the process of getting it replaced? wld they pic my console up frm my place? sld i exchange it frm landmark ( the plce i got it frm ) or i need to courier it? and another thing, will i get new console? refurbished? or will they repair this same console? They will be dropping a box at your place and you just have to give back your console. You won't get a replacement since thats only if your console is 90 days old i think. I asked wld it be a new or refurbished, she though could not explain me properly, but said, we get " NEW " consoles frm company in lots and distribute it, again i had to ask are they new, but her knowledge seemed limited so i had to drop that question, thank her and hang up the call! Xeno Posted October 25, 2007 Report Share Posted October 25, 2007 but da new repaired console u guys will get now(aftr da replace or refurbishment) will hav VERY LESS probability of gettin RROD due to da new improved air flow inside da 360.i am really VERY satisfied wid my new console as it hardly heats up!!!!!! use additional fans(use cpu side fans ) n ur console will not even get warm!!!!!!!!
