landmarktiger
Im worried about what next gen games cost if this gen is at $60. I belive xbox1/PS2 was at $
Noctis
Next gen doesn't necessary mean an increase in price. Since there is not likely to be a huge leap like the SD - HD we had this time, the dev costs might probably come down.
Bulovski
More importantly, Dead Space 2. The first game got a bit of raw deal in spite of being superb.

Right
I disagree. Look at the sales of that Sniper Ghost warrior game. It retailed at 30-40 bucks and was in the UK top 10/20 for f**king ever. It even made the steam top 10 at one point. They have made enough money to bankroll a sequel with the Cryengine 3. Karooo
I didn't like that game :| But Cryengine 3 seems interesting, as it is capable of huge draw distances. But congo to them anyway for selling a mil.

DC Universe Online: The Next Legend Is You* (PS3, PC) Sony - 195K Hardware: Xbox 360 - 381,000 (+15%) [Only console platform to see year over year growth] MS PR: Riding the momentum of its biggest year ever, Xbox 360 continued to drive strong console and software sales in the first month of the new year. Sustained consumer demand for Kinect helped propel Xbox 360 as the top selling console in January. January NPD highlights include: · Xbox 360 sold 381,000 units in January, up 48,000 units year-over-year. (Source: NPD Group, January 2011) · Xbox 360 is the only console platform to show year-over-year growth in January at 15 percent. (Source: NPD Group, January 2011) · Total retail spend on Xbox 360 topped $551 million, making it the top selling console platform for the 10th month in a row. (Source: NPD Group, January 2011) · During the month of January, four of the top ten console game titles were for Xbox 360 including: “Call of Duty: Black Ops,” “Dead Space 2,”“Dance Central,” and “Kinect Sports.” (Source: NPD Group, January 2011) Some lingering supply constraints coupled with high consumer demand led to continued pockets of shortages at retail. Microsoft anticipates this trend to improve through February, but will continue to work with retail and manufacturing partners to expedite production and shipments. Sony PR: "January’s NPD numbers, reflecting a 25% increase in PS3 software sales, demonstrate continued momentum for the PlayStation ecosystem. As the only system with both stereoscopic 3D and precision motion controlled gaming, PlayStation is delivering a new era of immersive entertainment fueled by the industry’s strongest content lineup. Next week, with the arrival of one of the most anticipated titles of the year, Killzone 3, consumers’ expectations for exhilarating 3D graphics and fast-paced PlayStation Move action will be further elevated in living rooms around the world," said Patrick Seybold, Sr. Director of Corporate Communications at SCEA. --- More data to come. Right
For something which launched barely 2 months ago with the installed base compared to everything else more than 4 years old. Imprezzive. Kinect is 8 mils+ now, not a really small install base. And games like DC are the marquee game for it. DC didn't get charted in top 10 in earlier months. Did 350K in NA in the launch month, was ranked #11. Did well in Dec too, 1 mil.
Noctis
For something which launched barely 2 months ago with the installed base compared to everything else more than 4 years old. Imprezzive. Dance Central is pretty much the reason for getting Kinect. A game which is unique to the platform and works as well on nothing else.
