Angelique Kerber is all set to start her Asian Swing at the Zhengzhou Open, after she accepted a wild card into the event. However, this time around she will not be alone. Reports have suggested that she will be seen with a person named Dirk Dier. Dirk Dier has been with the German tennis federation and is also known to have a good relationship with with Angelique Kerber.

A very bad 2019 it has been for her. Hoping her career picks up again. :)

She plays against Alison Riske (US) on the 10th at the Zhengzhou Open.

This evening's Kerber vs Alison Riske match at the WTA's Zhengzhou Open was nothing short of grueling! Almost 3 hours  and it left both players completely exhausted. In the end Kerber lost in the TB and for fans of her, like me, we have seen better days. This was her fifth loss on the trot spread across tournaments. Sad. But at least the match was amazing to watch. When each player breaks each other's service games for a whopping 10 times, what more can be said, really!
