Swayam
Well, As the thread name suggests , My 80gb PS3 died . It all started a few days back when PS3 would take longer than usual to startup. DS3 would not sync with the PS3, It would start the PS3 , But after startup it would loose sync. I would have to press the PS button twice or thrice before it could get back into sync. PS3 wouldn't connect to my wireless router and the small LED for network would not blink. Today, While I was playing songs on the PS3, It suddenly switched off and now it wont start anymore. The red LED which glows once its connected to a power source aint working either. My PS3 is from Canada and I am guessing it warranty is not valid here, Its about 5 months old. Any of your guys faced similar problems ? Do you know any service center in Mumbai? PS: The firmware is updated to 3.

Swayam
the way u explain it,it seems to me that it's simply not powering up as there is no SOD or YLODthere is simply no power in the ps3,the first thing u should do in that case is to try a new power cord Tried with a new power chord. Now once a day , When I connect it to a Power Chord the red LED starts glowing , But as soon as I touch the Power Button it goes green for a second and the PS3 switches off. well sry to hear that bro.there is a guy in lamington road who fixex this probs.
