^^ Don't get so excited it can be a free expansion / DLC for The Witcher 2.

These guys are not like ACTIVISION --> franchise-milkers.

But anyway, playthrough 8 here we go! :wOOtjumpy::wOOtjumpy:

Prequel no wantz. They ended WItcher 2 in a cliffhanger. North is weakened and the Nilfgaardian invasion is imminent.

I wanna see the mastermind behind everything. The White Flame Dancing on the Barrows of His Enemies. Such a badass name. B)

That guy is Emperor Emyhr Var Emreis, Emperor of Nilfgaard and The White Flame Dancing on the Barrows of His Enemies.

I know man, I know. Careful about spoilers though. I don't wanna know about information from the books.

No leaking information from the books (I have them though), Sire. :hypocrite:

In-fact Roche made this joke in Chapter 1, The Witcher 2. If you remember.

Roche -- Emhyr Var Emreis, spice trader.

Guardsman -- Huh!

Roche -- In spices!

You will need a complete overhaul before you can run the game on anything but low but do check the following options --

Reduce the resolution to 1280 x720 (720p)

Texture downscaling -- High

Texture Size -- Medium

Shadow Quality -- Low

Number of Shadowed Lights -- Low

LOD Distance -- Near

Bloom -- Enabled

Light Shafts -- Disabled (OR Enable these and see if they hit your performance)

Anti-Aliasing -- Disabled

Blur Effects -- Disabled

Depth of Field (Gameplay) -- Disabled

Depth of Field (Cut-scene) -- Enabled

Cinematic Depth of Field -- Enabled

Vignette -- Disabled

Wet Surfaces Rain Effect -- Disabled (OR Enable this and check for performance penalty)

SSAO -- Disabled

Motion Blur -- Enabled (Disable this if performance gets choppy)

Dangling Objects Limit -- Enabled

Ubersampling -- Disabled

Vertical Sync -- Disabled

Decals -- Medium Spec

Hope this helps, Cheerio!

mohit your cpu and ram are holding you back. still, if you lower the res down to 1600x900 you might be able to push up a few of the settings. don't worry, the game looks fabulous even on medium settings so it should be good at lower settings too.

thanks a lot...will check and let you know .if it worked. repped for your effort. :arigato:

Thanks man, helps.

Do look at the RAM aspect although DDR III is almost on the death-knell too with DDR4 support promised alongside Intel Haswell (Q2 2013) but I expect the former to be cheaper than similar sized DDR II modules. So you might plan an upgrade in the near OR late future.

Do let me know, been playing the game since last year and if anywhere you are stuck, PM me.

^^ For 1600 x900 I recommend at-least a HD4870 / HD5770 anything below these and the game lags away on high settings (default).

Yep that is why I suggested 1280 x720 (720p) exactly half of 1080p. Scaling will be much better on the screen (24"). With 1600 x900 scaling will be a little off as that is the native resolution of a 20" monitor.

thanks. nice of you to be so helpful.

Sure, it is your prerogative, see the options, weigh their benefits and make a choice.

And last I checked forums are for helping fellow enthusiasts out. =]
