ALPHA17
^^ To each his own, I am just commenting on the fact that as a choice it is easier to reset everything in SKYRIM, unlike The Witcher (original) and Witcher 2 in which although there is a way to go about the process, it is a meta-game and needs the player to experiment and do some homework instead of just, you have hit 100, RESET. OR. Buy DLC, RESET.
pinkmonster
Guys, Im having a problem with launching the game. Is this the right place to post it? I'm going bonkers coz i have no idea what the issue is. *cries in a corner*
Heaven Angel
PC version right? Try verifying integrity of game cache. If there is any file missing or broken, Steam will download it.
pinkmonster
Its not a Steam copy, its a GOG copy. I click on the shortcut on desktop This is what is in that window: Files that help describe the problem: C:\Users\Rashi\AppData\Local\Temp\WERF6AE.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml C:\Users\Rashi\AppData\Local\Temp\WER1314.tmp.appcompat.txt C:\Users\Rashi\AppData\Local\Temp\WER1382.tmp.mdmp I had installed patch 3.3 yesterday. Was working fine till then. But today wont launch. Also, my game is installed in another drive since the C: drive is only for the OS and other important software. Heaven Angel
Hmm, no idea how GOG cache works. Did you try running witcher2.exe directly? Or try re-installing the game.
pbpoovannagamer
hey go to Official witcher 2 forum and post it in the Tech support page http://en.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?/forum/123-tw2-tech-support/ or read if someone there is having a similar problem, the admins will always have a solution ! most of my problems were solved that way. Heaven Angel
I heard dark mode grants you some extra quests. Can anybody confirm this? (planning to start new playthrough) This difficulty level allows you to acquire dark items and grants you access to quests which are not available on other difficulties. Thanks
ALPHA17
I heard dark mode grants you some extra quests. Can anybody confirm this? (planning to start new playthrough) Not that I noticed, you just get side-quests which pertain to gaining items / raw materials to craft the Dark Armour sets. And the fact that an incomplete set of Dark Armour causes you to loose vitality steadily is there too add a level of difficulty. Better you play it for one of the new endings which came along with the Enhanced Edition.
Heaven Angel
Didn't know about new ending. I'll give it a go. Thank you.
Heaven Angel
Looks like they have patched up the SLI issue. (didn't play in year+) http://www.overclock.net/t/1021185/the-witcher-2-sli-fix-guide My setting: In-game: 60fps (indoor), 50-60fps (outdoor during combat), ~45-55 (at random sudden location..just for few seconds and back to normal) Screens: Just surprised to see it running on max without any issue. Agent 47
Whose patch if i choose will have impact in the third game: Roche or Iorveth...? Can someone please answer this..?
ALPHA17
^ Both paths are fleshed out better than when the game originally released. I would suggest you do the B-Roche path first though, go with Iorveth on the follow up.

Arj_Gamer_2012
If i wanna play only once..any specific path ?...need to move on to third game.. Both are very different..Different story line different missions and impact at the end.. Not sure if anyone will give an advantage on moving to the next game.. If you are interested in Kings play Roche mode (or for ves )..The other story focuses on non humans..But I would highly suggest play both.. ALPHA17
^ Cannot really comment which one will be better for The Witcher 3 (narrative wise), take your time with the game. This one here will only get better. Triss will be fine if you take any path.
