Crafting and Alchemy ingredients don't take up much space. Just sell the timber, cloth and iron ore and keep little bit in your inventory.

how much should i sell or how much should i keep with me??

i got over 40 of everything :P can u tell me whats the use of mutagens and enhancement of armors i cant find any use of these 2 things

Okay got the hang of mechanics, the combat is good but still its sluggish as in the response time for action is uneven...sometimes it'll be good but sometimes it'll be slow for some strange reason.

Overall I don't like this combat system over Witcher 1.

You guys are correct. The combat system is a step down from the timing combo based system of the previous game. However, the toned down effectiveness of the Signs cokbined with the new athletic moves of Geralt do lend themselves to a nice, fluid combat system if you are well prepared and fight tactically.

combat system in witcher 1 was better thn 2 reason,in witcher 2 if u get surrounded by 20-30 monsters thn u are dead doesnt matter what u do where as in witcher 1 u select silver sword and the mechanics or whatever it was that will have geralt attack and damage everything around him and if u time it perfectly those 30 fellas are not gonna touch u not even once.

yup the combat has been dumbed down...dunno what type of morons suggested this!!!!:furious: .... button mashing leads it to no effect sometimes... the three different sword fighting style that distinguished it from other combat RPG's strong style, quick style and the group style was way better suited to different types of situations. More over instead of constant idiotic button mashing the timing version of the swordplay involved more concentration to the action.

as far as i have played i think there is two major flaws in it 1st - dumbed down combat 2nd- NO storing trunk. :rant:

Here you actually need to concentrate on what your opponent is doing; the chapter 1 boss fight shows this well. The only thing I dislike is that the blocking is useless when you are fighting.

Out of all the games why would one want realism in a game like this?

Its good if its unrealistic.

 

The first game made a big point out of the 'Witcher combat style' only to flush it out of the toilet for the second, the combat is slow and weak, Geralt gets stuck far too often between things/peoples.

If the combat in first game was a QTE feast then the one in this game is nothing but all about pussying out of every fight by running around the area so as to pick one guy at a time (no matter how insignificant).....the mechanic is very very very basic which makes the game artificially harder.

 

A better and superior example of a game which revolves around somewhat similar combat mechanics like this would be Demon's Souls.

Ofcourse its dumbed down to prepare it for consoles i guess...I played Witcher 1 4 times and the combat never seemed to be buggy.. the defense was auto according to ur skill level. and the ability to change the fighting style according to the enemy and situation was very tactical and smart.. one could miss the combo if he looses the focus in battle and get beaten... but anyone could easily blend sword fight with signs with just the combination of two buttons...if anyone is skillful enough one can easily win a fight merely based on his abilities and not loose it coz of lame game mechanics.

Here in W2AOK case the game actually focuses into each individual at the time of fighting...the focus mechanics is not smart and when surrounded by few enemies it is useless..how can a mutant who as per the novel and last game is a "master swordsman" gets his a*s kicked by some retarted hooligans <_< ???? Geralt is built to kill...he is a gifted killer. the first game portrayed it beautifully.... If one could win the fight based on his own ability by mastering the skills and not simply run away from it bcoz it limited the gamers ability.

It simply is a way to restrict us to finish it quickly. :ack:

Nonsense. There was no problem with witcher 1 combat system. It was more about tact/preparation and less about hack/slash. And no way it was buggy !

@ neo ....yup u r correct ..

 

i dont why or which kind of gamers would have reported them that the combat was poor and they need to change it?????...i think whoever said it wanted to simply close their eyes and keep mashing the button. the only thing that was missing was a manual defence and all else was fine.. but this game has no actual defense at all :wacko:

 

but leaving these the game is indeed very enjoyable. and good luck with the download. It took me straightaway 4 days to complete download

i got counter attack ability from the swordsmanship tree and everytime i try to counterattack someone else hits from behind <_< result no counterattack

faggots in the game gives u good competition in a fight which for me is not good becz as maxus said witcher is built to kill(a mutant) people should be afraid of him.in witcher 1 in same situation u would have killed them in no time.dont know who was the idiot who told them to change.the flaws of combat system are very much visible in chap1 itself-

 

whn u go down in the tunnel to find what happened to the soliders(that Melena mission) u get surround in that tunnel by the monsters and u cant do the sh*t but run and kill them or take one at a time

 

combat system focus on 1 person at a time and whn surrounded thn its awful ,u need to lock on that person whom u want to kill otherwise u gonna end up using sign on one(while he is stun) and attacking someone else resulting in that stun guy coming back to his senses.

but all said and done game is really really awesome,best rpg game and this small problem in the combat system aint gonna stop me from playing :thumbsup:
