Aftrunner
No what he is doing is basically calling everyone who doesnt like this game a pedantic stickler. You know all those ads where they tell you that if you use product XYZ people find you cool and hip and awesome and good looking but if you use product ABC you are a boring lifeless idiot? (PC vs MAC for example). Its basically the same concept. Except you know this time its not an ad, its a review. Then again maybe it is an ad. Karooo
He just said you will be "slightly frustrated." I didn't give a sh*t for long loading times in Bayonetta, the game was still fun for me. But the other people who played it got incredibly frustrated with it( ps3 ver btw ). So he has a point. Its not about the review, this whole thread people have been crapping on Ninja Theory and Enslaved. Not only here but in many forums, I just don't get the hate. They just made one game Heavenly Sword which they f**ked up and a Sony Studio had to complete it.
Right
I don't think there's any procedural animation in this game, what made you think that ? There are none, blame the midnight boozefest.
praveer
I just don't get the hate. Cause: 1) They are making DmC. 2) Gameplay is their weakest area.

kittoo
^Maybe cause most of the UE engine games dont work good on PS3. Not only that, if not modified greatly, this engine is just brown shade all over.
praveer
but mass effect 2 was made with same engine right...and it was superb..phir kyuon so much hate for unreal engine?? Cause DMC is MEANT to be played at 60FPS & using UE3 only means that 60FPS gameplay is a goner, cause not a single game using UE3 runs at a perfectly stable 30FPS with zero screen tearing (on consoles), not even Epic's own Gears of War. Unreal Engine is the best engine, if you could over look screen tearing and frame rate issues. crappy gameplay & physics pasty looking characters and raping @ 30fps they should make dmc a startegy game, who needs fast pace stylish combat with characters that were, are, & will be cool forever

praveer
Don't get me wrong UE3 is an amazing engine & the best when it comes to sheer contents & user friendliness, you can make entirely different looking stuff using UE3.....but this doesn't necessarily means that its not without its flaws. Also the engine in particular favors running on Xbox 360 more (the single biggest reason for this is Gears of War 1). mass effect looked great and played nicely too. It looked great & ran better than ME1 but it still ran a wonky framerate. Gears 2 is the most stable game built on UE3 after Mirror's Edge & Batman (both these games featured minimal onscreen action in terms of effects). MarketTantrik
Not to forget that UE3 and Gears 1 was the reason Microsoft increased the inbuilt RAM in the Xbox360 from 256 MB to 512 MB. Epic did a great job in convincing the engineers on the benefits of doing so. They went so far as telling them that Gears 1 will be next to impossible on 256 MB of RAM. That could explain why UE3 games struggle on the PS3 which has a split architecture.
praveer
Yea that too....although the PS3 can access most of the XDR memory via the CPU & increase the available VRAM to ~480MB (still less than 360).
MarketTantrik
The 360 needs to use some of the system RAM for video as well, so I guess there's less than 512 MB available anyway.
