I am disappointed.....unstable framerate, screen tearing & strictly average looking visuals (some parts like the explosions & smoke are very very bad looking with clippings everywhere )....along with a massive input lag and almost entirely automated platforming.

Ninja Theory are now currently my most hated developers.

This I can live with.

This is a deal breaker if true though.

Automated platforming like PoP/AC??

lol AC's platforming is automatic but it does requires a certain degree of precision, same with POP....but Enslaved is so simple that you can practically traverse while keeping your eyes shut ! (No kidding...its entirely possible). For starters your character will NEVER jump in the wrong direction, the only direction he jumps is the direction you are supposed to go, hence its guaranteed that you will have a 100% success rate in platforming.

Traversing while hanging on ledge doesn't requires even the slightest of accuracy (its even less than Uncharted) and when you are on foot the jump animation will only occur when you are moving towards a gap otherwise your character will simply roll instead of launching himself up in the air (yea once again Ninja Theory thought that proper jumping is useless.)

Completely agree with praveer , except about the visuals.

True the smoke and fire effects are f**ked up , but other than that the game looks beautiful. I would say just a notch down compared to Uncharted 2.

The platforming sections are completely dumbed down. You can just tap X holding the analog stick in the correct direction , and monkey will do the rest. Monkey will just not jump if you are holding the analog stick in the wrong direction . Eg , he cannot jump of the airship that he is on

On the contrary , the setting for platforming sections is very good. I really liked the platforming section at the end , it would have been perfect if it would have been less automated.

The controller lag/late response is very evident. The controls and camera feel a bit clunky at times.

Combat is okayish , nothing new. The view goes into kinda cinematic mode once you enter a combat.

I would say character animation and attention to detail is good. The cloth tied around his waist would fly when he is on the wing of the airship.

All in all , going by demo , it has turned to be quite as expected , nothing groundbreaking but fun nevertheless.

The visuals aren't even two notch below Heavenly Sword....let alone Uncharted 2.

To top this off the image quality is nowhere even close to Heavenly sword's 4xAA/8xAF

The lighting is washed out & the white crush kills all the detail (like in a typical UE3 game made by any random studio), bland textures are easily obvious, shadows are a mess & the characters models are quite blocky. Though the art itself is nice & I think that's what makes you think it looks great, but graphically its average.
