Right now i am actually feeling sorry yet feel like laughing that i actually bought a fake Xbox360 accessory which looked totally real. Its not my fault because from the picture it looked like a real deal but infact it was a fake Chinese cable so i basically ended up burning 1900bucks on a fake cable. agh! God bless me *sighs* This is a guide for those folks who want to identify the difference between the fake and the real thing. 1) Look out for the Microsoft brand If you look carefully, you will find that the second cable has no branding where as the first one has "Microsoft' embedded in it 2) Look out for the box (Second Pic shows the fake carton, first one is real ) ( Do note the lighter greener shade ) At a first glance both of them look to be the same but thats not true. The original one will look more greener than the other one. The cardboard will feel more thick plus the plastic in which it comes is thicker in the real one. I know this because i have had a hard time opening the accessory in the past but in this case i was able to get the plastic pretty easily. 3) The Manual ( First pic shows the fake carton, Second one is real ) Real one usually comes with some sort of manual which feels useless to us but in the case of the fake one you wont find any manual I hope this helps all the other members. I am feeling cheated and ripped because i paid extra only to have a fake one. I am not too sure what i will be doing because the cable works fine. If only Microsoft made efforts to make this cable available in Ahmedabad or didn't charge 250bucks just for shipping it from their Microsoft E-store i could have avoided it. Do note that i am not blaming Microsoft for this because it was me who did the transaction and I am sure most of us would have got fooled with the fake looking totally real I guess this experience will help other members to spot the fake one's Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
