Heads up! I completely missed the fact that Amaterasu translations picked up the Muv Luv series. For those not in the know:

- The original Muv Luv has two parts, Extra and Unlimited. Extra's the slice-of-life prologue of sorts, though it's pretty much a VN in its own right. Extra is completely translated, patch is out.

- Starting from Unlimited, which is unlocked after you complete the two main routes in Extra, the series transforms into something awesome. I will not say what because I don't want to spoil you guys. A partial patch is out for this.

- Muv Luv Alternative is the sequel, picking up from where Unlimited left off.

Anyway, Extra is awful, but it's a decent starting point for the series. Unlimited is good, and anyone who's played Alternative rates it as one of the best VNs ever. So yeah, get Muv Luv, read Extra and wait for Unlimited's complete patch, which will be out by the end of the month or so. Do NOT try and check out what Unlimited and Alternative are about, you'll just ruin the surprise for yourself.

I just finished Extra and the translated Unlimited parts. So pumped up for this.

Nope, most of them should run on any computer including netbooks without any problem. After all they are still novels.

But some VN/SRPG/JRPG mix games might require slightly better specs, still no great deal.

And I think the link to the Translation Library should be given in the first page, would be very helpful for those starting on it.

^ It's very outdated though. The TLwiki page for the same is better, but posting a link to that would be a little.... problematic. :P Anyway, welcome to the fandom, Bikram. Clannad's a good place to start.

Anyway, MuvLuv Alternative = best VN ever. Ever. Just unbelievably f**king amazing.

Hey guys started Clannad yesterday night after struggling with the language packs. :P Loving it so far. Is there any way to change the menus to english? I have figured out the exit and save buttons but still it would be better. Thanks again for bringing me to the fantastic world of VNs ::thumbsup:

Its good enough for new guys, and by the time they finish the good ones there they should know of the the newer releases.

And every VN seems to be the best VN ever for you now, decide on one already. :P

I was pretty busy the entire week, and whatever free time I had I was putting into DA:O. Anyway, I'll be starting Muv-Luv Extra+Alternate today, and I'll be continuing with Sekien no Iganock as well. I've got all the time in the world now. (my PS3 YLOD'd T_T)
