EA's suit will end in an out-of-court settlement where Tim aka MOFO will say "Go ahead and publish Mirror's Edge and don't sue me". And then he'll go right back and make life miserable for all these indie developers. Because he's put in the copyright he's still not guilty - however stupid the copyright may be. The sad thing is that till this sh*t is settled the guy cannot put his game back on the App Store. Mobigames' Edge is back on the App Store but it must have lost out on lots of orders - App Store games usually sell a lot as flavour of the season.
