kaiserbreath
Things i feel ubisoft got right. POP SOT : Rewind system, Decent boss battles. POP WW : Fighting system, Chase Sequences, BG Music. POP TTT: Evolution System (Dark prince) , nice follow up to the story. POP 4 : Different Visual Style, Quirky Humor. POP 5 : lets discuss. BTW I never really liked the puzzles in WW and TTT, never made sense since always created a lull in the otherwise High Adrenalin gameplay. The Mask of time bit part was awesome. junior
new POP is meh, it is good but not even close to older POPs like WW i never found nething good in it ...just looked good dat is it .. ... all ended there itself
Solitaire
didn't really like much about WW except the trailer music by godsmack (I stand alone). Didn't finish it cos the disk I got for my PS2 kept hanging at some point in the middle of the game. I loved the new Prince of Persia though... really liked it except for the need to backtrack a lot..
EX-Kuro
the new pop felt like they were in some indiana jones movie or something ... like they werent even bothered about the corruption n stuff.... they just kept happily jumping around making these lame conversations... i dont think this kind of theme is well suited for a game like pop IMO... Tyler
i gave up the new pop half way Hmmm, then you missed the best part of the game... the ending. I was honestly moved by the ending. It was beautiful. Either way, I understand the complaints fans of the older games have against the new POP. Sure it wasn't hardcore, the combat was limited and there wasn't a lot of exposition and plot development. I for one loved the shift towards a more SOTC-style artsy direction. The visuals were some of the best this gen has seen and the controls were ultra smooth. I'm not too big on difficult platformers (the reason why I have never completed any Tomb Raider games and barely managed to finish the SoT trilogy), so I found the new style very suitable to my liking. I played the entire game with my back against my couch. Most games usually have me on edge. This one just felt calm and relaxing. I loved that. Oh and Elika is one of the best female characters ever created for a video game. Probably one of the few fictional characters that actually made me care for them. Bulovski
I'm one of the few people who prefers the new POP over the old ones. same here. btw for everyone saying old POP, Sands of Time trilogy is not old POP. Old POP is the 2d platformer, followed by its sequel. Then came POP 3d. Then after a hiatus came SOT trilogy, and finally Ubisoft has rebooted the franchise with latest POP. So please don't say old POP (one of the best games ever) when you refer to SOT.
Bulovski
also, new POP is very very close to the original. lots of platforming, one-on-one limited battles in each level.
Bulovski
in terms of epicness TT was better than Sands. TT had awesome boss fights. Do people remember the two mofos right after the chariot sequence?
Right
I liked the new POP but it was super short and easy, I had to compensate that by playing for 100% light seeds If one fasttracks it, can finish it in about 10 hrs. OT: The epilogue expansion is available for 560 MSP(-30%), is it worth, I know reviews weren't so good for that,

Right
& the new guy was poor rip off of nathan drake(minus the personality) Neah. New guy is OK he just lacked a good commanding voice over The convos between him and Elika actually made the game less boring. Otherwise, with so less swordplay and too much of platforming, game could have been boring as hell.

YES! Almost every conversation between the price and Elika was awful, trying too hard to be witty and funny. In fact every time the prince opened his mouth I felt like slapping some sense into him. It was like a game written by a failed second rate sitcom writer. Thats something (amongst a lot of other things) SoT and TT did better than the new Pop. Even the prince talking to himself when he was alone was well done. That was a likable guy. New PoP was just an a**hole wanting to be Han solo.
