Given a choice, I'd choose Coke over Pepsi otherwise I'm cool with either.

Also like PW says, Coke is a good mixer.

This should be renamed the softdrink thread so I can mention the awesomeness of Gold Spot, Campa Cola, Bovonto and Paneer Soda/Goli Soda.

Yep, used to be. Grew up in Chennai as a kid in the late 80s :)

Bull's Eye , and Bovonto is still going on here.

Gold Spot and kalimark were at the same time if I could recollect.

Also remember Crush ?

@SS

Kalimark makes Bovonto. Amazing that they survived the softdrink takeovers and are still doing decent business.

Yeah, I remember Crush.

But nothing beats Goli Soda after a tiring game of cricket on a hot summer day. Heavily carbonated and commonly flavored with rose essence, everything from breaking open the bottle to having to constantly rotate it as you drink (to prevent the goli(marble) from blocking the path of the soda) added to the experience.

Interesting video on the making of Goli Soda (in Kannada)
