I am planning to buy a Sound system. My buget is max 30-35K. not more than that. No sal hike from this oct so i cant increase budget to 50K as planned :):P

Here is what i am looking at.

HTiB YHT-195

""

YPAO for automatic speaker setup

Front panel mini jack for connecting portable audio player

9 selectable subwoofer crossover frequencies / Subwoofer phase select

Initial Volume Setting and Maximum Volume Setting

5.1-channel, powerful surround sound (500W=100W x 5 RMS, 675W=135W x 5 Max)

High dynamic power, low-impedance drive capability

192kHz/24-bit DACs for all channels

2-way speaker drivers for high power input capacity

16cm 100W Advanced-YST subwoofer

1080p-compatible HDMI switching (2 in/1 out) including 1080p/24Hz repeat

HDTV compatible component video terminals (3 in/1 out)

CINEMA DSP with 8 DSP programs

Compressed Music Enhancer to improve compressed music sources

Night Listening Enhancer (Cinema/Music) and SILENT CINEMA

4 SCENE buttons offering greater operating ease (with 12 preset SCENE templates) - quoted price 35K -discount to be decided while buying.

Is this worh it.

Or better buy Logitech FZ5800 around 18k i guess for now and save money for March to buy a good one.

Plz suggest.

I have the money in hands so cant wait now :)

Sumanth bro, if you are looking for a short term solution i would advice you to go for altec lansing Mx-5021 may be it should be around 6000 now. its a 2.1channel thx certified speaker and i have been using it ...ofcourse its been a year and i feel qaulity is not as it was but when it came it was out of the experience....it worked with ps3 too.

for ocourse high budget the one youe are looking or .... I have got no idea but have you tried sonodyne ...I dont know why people dont check out Sonodyne they are really good you know.Check out what sonodyne has to offer within your budget.

only thing that seems to be lacking is 7.1....

otherwise decent punch 100w per channel for the price

also this is mostly for gaming & movies right?? then it will be good enough.... if u r an audiophile then HTiB is a big :P so if listening to music is secondary, i would say go for it; if u like the sound :)

i errrrr... presume u have demo'ed the set :)

Yep. I have demo'ed and gng for that again 2day. Music listening is vry less. it is almst 80% games, 18% movies 2% Audio. Once in a week or so that too whn i am cooking :panic:

  • 2 weeks later...
get a z5500 logitech and connect it via a optical cable to get optimum results

z5500 is good but if u want more than that find a pioneer showroom near u and look for TODOROKI........................i am using both of these system and i thin Todoroki has quiet more punch than z5500,

the price difference is more than double though :)

These speakers are wicked and are very very loud but they get hot very easily.

Just check everything before buying
