Dredd
i have been thinking of asking these questions for a long time. "Are systems like Bose any better while gaming?" "What is the brand order 1 to 5 - best brand first?" (or is no particular brand better than other when gaming is concerned?)
Freelancer
Bose is good if u r super duper rich ! like 17k for 2.1 speaker system !!!! imagine tht ! But for gaming many prefer logitech z5500...... For Home theater my ranking will be 1.Yamaha 2.Onkyo 3.Denon 4.Sony 5.Alteclansing (low budget coz i havent seen a product in market of theirs worth more thn 6-7k)
KWC
i have been thinking of asking these questions for a long time. "Are systems like Bose any better while gaming?" "What is the brand order 1 to 5 - best brand first?" (or is no particular brand better than other when gaming is concerned?) For a same price of a bose system, you will get a much better system from other companies. But yes Bose is a recognized brand, most audiophiles say it means ,"Buy Other Sound Equipment" What do you mean by brand? Are you looking at a 5.1 or a home theatre or? But i was looking at an overall ranking (like given by freelancer) If i have to get good gaming headphones, then which ones? (in fact i will start a new thread for this)

Sumanth_Champion
guyz i would say plz chek out Yamaha bfore deciding on anything... though I am noobie in Sound systems, i really felt they are amazing than many others. I have taken the base model of Yamaha HTiB YHT-195. It sounds very gud.. :partydance:.. UC2 was my 1st game in that and it was the best exp i ever had while gaming.... Etrnlwanderer
I dont have the PS3 as yet ( coming in 3 weeks) but the system I will be hooking it up to is my present config which is a 26" AOC monitor with HDMI, PS3 audio out will be to my Creative Decoder DDTS-100 via optic cable, and sound output from there to 7.1 Creative Gigaworks S750. raj_ch2002
Creative Decoder DDTS-100 via optic cable is the best method for now...you'll get 3 optical, 1 digital and 3 analog connections and u can use any computer speakers... If you want to go for a Yamaha, Onkyo receiver then wait for some time...b'coz the receivers are not yet future proof... YAMAHA just introduced RX-v series with HD decoding....https://www.yamahamusicindia.com/products/products_detail.aspx?ImageId=876 just wait for some time for prices to come down....then u can get it...
