No way I want to be in China, I'm happy to be in India. Only wish we had some good , great leaders. The likes of JFK or lincoln to lead us

We'll get there. Things are getting so much better. We just opened up in 1991. With the stuff the kids have access to these days, we'll get there.

Just look at WSJ India, as just one example. They have amazing socio-political articles every week by college kids. All while the guys here are playing videogames.

Not that that's bad, but you've got to be balanced.

Schools teach theory of evolution but people believe in fairy tales and actually believe that monkey's can fly. Religion is killing India. There are so many customs/traditions that are still performed in small villages and even in big cities (Aishwariya Rai Bachan being a Manglik, first had to marry a tree, then Abhishek Bachan to keep the solar system intact).

Dont talk about the stuff you dont know nothing about

:O

I have not read the earlier posts, but has any 1 talked about the bureaucracy in India? that is the place which really needs to be fixed up first if India wants to move ahead

Then say that for God's sake instead of 'No'. It doesn't make you look 'cool', I hope you know

Bureaucracy is just as bad in China. You just don't hear it because people don't have a voice. Everything is censored. And the people are too chicken sh*t to do anything about it. And the last time they tried to, the commies brought the tanks out.

Of course Bureaucracy is a problem. But we have a lot more to help us get on top :D

Chicken. So we disagree. What's the worst that can happen. It isn't like any of us has owned or fired a gun is it?

I kind of agree actually. Our culture is very important.

And it spread all the way to Japan once upon a time, and Buddhism (which is an offshoot of Hinduism) still exists!

the Indian bureaucracy problem is that it hinders the not only the growth of private sector but also of national projects as well as state projects. The whole bureaucratic system needs an overhaul. I will avoid political topic, but would just say that not all the politicians are bad, the current problem is with the bureaucracy.

Discussing religion is the issue here keyo. It could incite something worse than your average console war. Politics is alright, religious discussions never turned out to be right..

It's alright as long as we remain civil. It's been fine so far.

Let it be. We don't have enough of these discussions here anyway.

Culture and religion are two different things. Never ever take them in the same sense
